Found this wonderful little spot in the cut and was not disappointed. I had the Mamas Chicken with rice and tomatoes with spinach it was so good!! And she is so sweet she offered me chips and salsa to go along with my meal. The homemade salsas were on point I had the hot Serrano and Red Rage salsas to go along with my chips the heat was perfect and the taste was amazing. I will be back for more!!

A friend gifted me some of Cita’ salsa verde. 2 weeks later I was in East Dallas, so I stopped in. EVERYTHING I purchased is out of this world delicious!
I got Turkey meatloaf, Cita’ version of Tzatkizi, Pico de gallo, and tamales!

I have not yet been to her restaurant, but was able to try/buy her salsa at a holiday bazaar recently. Do not walk, run to pick some of this stuff up. I make my own fresh salsa and I’m kind of picky about what I call ‘good’ salsa. This stuff is in my top 5 (under mine, of course! :)). So flavorful and the perfect amount of heat for medium and mild salsas. The extra hot impressed my husband and he is even pickier than I am. Can’t wait to go in and try everything else she has to offer at Cita’s Kitchen!

I have had the vegan tamales(black bean/corn and cheese/jalapeño)here and they are delicious! My husband and I came here today and we tried the hot sauce and let me just say, if you are looking for flavorful homemade hot sauce, look no further! Nina and her husband Arthur had AMAZING customer service. I was not aware they they closed at 7 on this particular day, and Nina had no problem with me coming in. We were not rushed, nor did we feel pressured. The minute we came in, we were met with a warm welcome. We spoke for a few minutes and even had the pleasure of tasting different hot sauces that they make. Everything that I have tasted here has been amazing. If you want great food, phenomenal customer service, and feeling like you have them forever..come to Citas.

My son was home visiting for Thanksgiving. He lives in St. Louis, where it is hard to find good salsa. We love the Cita’s brand and get it often at Central Market. We thought we’d check out Cita’s Kitchen, since we live in the area. What a treat. The lady took time to give us samples of all the salsas. My son was able to take home several to his home in St. Louis. What a great place. Can’t wait to visit again soon.

I picked up some salsa and chips at Heritage Village in McKinney (Farmers Market). Now I’m looking for their chips and salsa at every store I go to! I did find the green salsa at Central Market. But no chips. I’m going to their store on Monday because it was that good.

These ladies have the best salsa in North Texas. Found this brand at a meat market in McKinney and have been getting their habanero salsa for the last couple years. I visited their brick and mortar shop today in east Dallas and had the pleasure of meeting the mom and daughter combo running the place. Cita and Lena were a joy to chat with and I was pleasantly surprised at some of the other dishes in the refrigerators that were available. I got barbacoa tacos and beef enchiladas for dinner tonight and Tamales for tomorrow. Also grabbed some hatch chili queso, sourdough waffles, morning glory muffins, and shortbread cookies. As of this review ive tasted all the products i bought and Im extremely satisfied. The tacos were soo tasty! The waffles crispy with deep pockets! Muffins that retain a little bounce while being extremely moist. The tamales were soft and flavorful. I love quality, i love flavor…you get that with Cita’s kitchen. This is the type of business any community can feel good about having. Best salsa in North Texas!
Oh and all of their salsa are amazing but i highly recommend the habanero as well as the pequin & arbol.

I met Lena, the owner today! I’ve only ever tried Cita’s at the local farmers market but was so happy to see they opened a grab and go location here in casa view! They have prepared meals or casseroles, their signature salsas, menudo, pozole and desserts to go! On Saturday they do warm breakfast tacos. My favorite part is they have 12.5 Oz salsas for those of you who are like me and could drink their red rage salsa with a straw! Make sure to stop by and support this local business! I got several grab and go meals to try! Can’t wait for dinner tonight!
