I didn’t realize there was a Circus Hall of Cream anywhere anymore and was thrilled to discover one so close to home. Dependably delicious food and great service, the employees are super friendly and can move a drive through line quickly. Nostalgic Western North Carolina with hot dogs, hamburgers, barbeque and all types of ice cream. Like a time machine that’s delicious. 🙂

The Drive thru wait was excessive for supposed “fast” food. Then the young girl apparently can’t hear, which made my wait super excessive, one hotdog I ordered was supposed to be Ketchup and mustard only and she decided to add cheese which my daughter is very allergic to and I promise, I waited 7 minutes for them to remake one hotdog, if was so bad that I live 1 1/2 miles away, drove straight home and the other half my food was Luke warm and cold. Do better Circus Hall, you were one of our favorite, go to’s

I had this place on my bucket list of local places to try out especially after seeing all the food reviews talking about it on tiktok, Facebook..ect. My husband and I decided to go out and try it. For all the hype, it was not that satisfying. Food is very mediocre, and not plentiful. We both left still hungry. It’s a little on the pricey side, somehow we paid $30 for two meals and a shake. The sign prices didn’t add up to that…. but we didn’t get a receipt so I didn’t want to go back and say anything, just decided to take the loss. They also got my meal wrong, I ordered a cheeseburger meal, no cheese on the burger.
The milkshake was nasty, had no flavor at all. I admire the vintage & unique feel to the place but all in all probably wouldn’t go back.
There is plenty of parking & picnic tables.

Another one of Hickory’s hidden treasures. Place has been here for as long as I can remember and has always been good. Burgers and hot dogs are awesome. The family friendly atmosphere is always welcoming. The staff is super friendly everytime I visit. The prices are also super fair!

It’s the quintessential Western North Carolina experience, in that the burgers and hotdogs are delicious and fresh. You must try everything “all the way” which in North Carolina is chili, slaw, mustard and onions. Stepping onto the parking lot, it’s a blast from the past circa 1970s. It’s a family friendly hangout. Very affordable prices in the atmosphere reminds you of maybe an earlier time in your life. Famous for the footlong hot dog, in my opinion it’s definitely an icon and a community meeting place and it’s one of the best in the Catawba Valley region.

Just had this today and NGL,,…. It was MID. Also got a small bag of fries( giving mCD happy meal fries) . Definitely stingy. And our burger was flat. Not big portions at all .
Service was alright they saw us coming and standing at the order window and they just stood there and stared at us . We had to walk around to make sure it was the right window to order . LOL .
First time here and wouldn’t recommend or come back .

We Grace this place once twice a week minimum. We’re not youngsters. We’ve been eating there since the ’70s. The ’80s whenever quality of the food is at its lowest prices are at its highest attitudes are at their shittiest. I believe I’m going to give up on this hometown restaurant for good. Hope it gets better in the future but I probably won’t know

Overall a good experience.
Fair prices and good food. My biggest complaint is how long the wait was in the drive through. I was 3 cars back and had to wait for about 15 minutes before the line moved.
I got a footlong hotdog, monster burger, and onion rings. Total was $13. Would be a good place to bring some kids and get ice cream. Monster burger wasn’t huge. Maybe about the same size as a quarter pounder.
You might get your food faster if you sit at the tables.

It’s good if you can get through the drive thru. Not the place to try if you are on lunch break.

Out traveling for work, wanted something different and local.
This place has been here for over 51 years and I can see why.
Food was really good, Had a hot dog, bbq sandwich and onion rings with a cherry lime drink.
Wow all we’re really good!
Will be back for the food alone and the price can’t be touched.
What set them apart is the staff, they great and very helpful.
Give them a try if your in town won’t be disappointed
