I have seen this place for almost 30yrs and wanted to try it since there are always cars.

Got a 12oz ribeye, potato, and salad. The salad was average at best. You can just tell when budget ingredients along with a long shelf life are served.

The potato was huge and cooked properly. The steak was tasty with some gristle mixed in. I enjoyed it but the wife got an 8oz (came out the same size) that she said was earthy tasting. So I got her whole steak to go.

Dessert was apple cobbler which they did an excellent job on. There was a budget ice cream to pair with it.

Service was very below par. Slow and she only came twice to the table. Had to flag other waitresses or get things myself. At least she left a pitcher of tea.

The building, booths, and bathrooms are in dire need of renovation and cleaning. The booths had giant holes with the foam sticking out. Can’t imagine why they don’t repair them.

All this for $60 for two people. Not worth the cost at all. Unfortunately, my first and last trip to Circle J Steakhouse. My curiosity is answered.

This is a popular place! On both of my visits (on a Sat and on a Sun), we had a 45-55 minute wait out the door.
Your order at a counter and pay.
Take your drink and ticket and sit where you like.
A waitress will come and take your ticket.
If you paid for a salad bar, go on up. Otherwise, she’ll be back with your order soon.
We had a couple of lovely steaks, baked potatoes and fries. Perfectly cooked and very tender.
Aside form the long wait to get in, it was a fine experience. Seems to be very popular for group functions (parties).
See photos: prices accurate as of March 2025.

My husband and I came by for lunch and it was amazing. Came back a couple of weeks later for dinner and boy it was a big difference. We were completely ignored by wait staff, the food was just horrible. The chicken had so much breading on it there was no chicken. The chicken was so dried out and you couldn’t eat it. One server was rushing us, while the rest ignored us. I just have to say that it’s better to go at lunch than dinner. Our food was 50$ which was just wasted. I had beef tips and they were so small it just looked like a small steak cut up in tiny pieces. My husband had chicken fried steak and the amount of gravy put on it to deceive the over cooked product underneath. It was beautifully decorated tho.

Awesome experience!! Brings me back to the old fashion Western Sizzler days. Greeted with a smile and everyone was so kind!
The food was AMAZING!!
Self serve salad bar that has so many yummy things on it. And has real lettuce that is freshly cut- not that bag gassed junk.
3.8 oz ribeye cooked perfectly. Very tender & juicy. They even have homemade mushroom gravy that is like the old way.
Followed up with warm homemade peach cobbler with ice-cream that you cannot go wrong with.
And even half gallon pitchers on your table of sweet & un-sweet tea just for your own refills.

I highly recommend taking the time to stop in and come hungry because you get a lot of food and even have a plate to take home for later goodness.

Our waitresses was Julie and Sam is the awesome cook who made the steaks amazing!!

I wish I didn’t have to do this. I love the food at this place. My whole family does we come a few times a year for our favorite entrees and the salad bar and desert. This time something unexpected happened. When my son got up and went to top off his salad at the salad bar he was intercepted by an angry looking associate. She asked him what was in his to go container and commanded him to open it and show its contents to her. I took a salad in my to go container with no issues as I have ever single of the close to ten times we have been here since I relocated here from the west coast and met the love of my life. Our son was disrespected at this restaurant so I called and left a message with another associate instructing her to give my phone number to the owner of this place and for him to call me. I told her that I was more than displeased and that I wanted my whole party’s money back for this trip and an apology. He still hasn’t gotten back to me. This place has gone downhill since the pandemic. No one looks at each other as equals or has respect for their neighbor anymore. T’is a shame. Also my son’s mom was Mexican so my son is mixed and he is a big boy so I certainly hope no one was discriminating against him for any reason.

Went here at the suggestion of my mother-in-law and I was very pleasantly surprised. The place is unassuming and very laid back. Their menu choices are very clear and pricing is very reasonable. The wait staff was on the ball and took care of any requests very quickly while being friendly and personable. The rest of the staff was friendly and helpful also. The food was served quickly and was very good. The baked potato alone was impressive. The salad bar was well stocked and provided a good selection. Highly recommended and I will stop in the next time I am in the area.

Very good old school steak house with all you can eat salad bar at a reasonable price. Enjoyed the sirlon steak tips with onions, peppers, and mushroom gravy. Wife enjoyed the chopped sirloin which was a little overcooked. Recommend you order this dish no more than medium rare. You must try the peach cobbler. Very good

Pay and order as you go in. Great table service! It was a nice place to sit down and eat at. This was our second time there. The salad bar would have been kept up with cleaning though.
