This place is under new management, switching from. BrazilianPortuguese BBQ to the hard to find American Kansas City Style BBQ. From great to awesome I’d say. Extra delicious simple menu consisting of Pulled pork, Beef brisket, Pork ribs, and Smoke chicken. Sides are collared greens, Mac and Cheese and Cole slaw. Soooooo good. To bad there is no more cat fish. My favorite is the RIBS! OMG!!!

Went to try this place out from a friend’s recommendation. I have to say I don’t regret coming here. Most of the places in Elizabeth that advertise as BBQ are not the authentic type of BBQ where as the meats are smoked. The guys here know exactly what they’re doing so when it says Kansas City Style BBQ, they mean it. As for the food, it is very delicious and flavorful but definitely fair priced. I’ll definitely be back and I encourage anyone looking for authentic BBQ to not miss out on this place.

Wow, the Pulled Pork Sandwich w/ side of Mac&Cheese, So Tasty! Got a half of Brisket too, OMG gobbled the Brisket it up before I got back to the office. Bruno the owner, great guy. The service and food excellent. Highly recommend this place.

The guy working here was super nice and accommodating, answering all my questions and making me feel comfortable. I ordered a sampler platter so I could get a feel for the food. I walked in at an off peak time and I wasn’t sure if the lack of customers was because of that or because the bbq wasn’t good. I’m inclined to think it was a combination of both after tasting the food. It wasn’t horrible, it just wasn’t bbq. (The best things I ate were the chicken empanada, which was cold, and the handcut French fries.) My family is from all over and I’ve traveled all over to boot. I know what good bbq is supposed to taste like. I’m not sure if northern spots can really replicate it though, because it requires volume to really do bbq right. That means you need a constant stream of customers to ensure freshness. I’ve found a couple spots that seem to know how to do it. This place wasn’t one of them. I wouldn’t go back. Which makes me sad because I’m always on the hunt for good que.
