Supreme De Volaille (roasted chicken) was very good and moist. Salade De Betteraves (beet salad) was delicious. Soupe A L’Oignon Grantlnee (French onion soup) was just ok – the broth was not rich and flavorful; have had much better. The problem was the broccoli cheese soup (soup of the day) – first bowl came out and had broccoli pieces in it but was served like warm. Mentioned to server and he took back. Second bowl that came was totally different in texture and taste! Very odd, and it was so hot like heated in microwave and had a taste of being burnt. Very very slow service. We arrived before 6pm and entrees were served at 7:10pm. We did tip our server 22% for the effort. But he was an eccentric person with odd comments throughout meal. Table next to us thought the same. Expected a higher grade of service for the $$. We were also left standing at host stand for over 5 minutes before someone greeted and seated us.

Atmosphere of bistro on some Paris streets. Everything was fine but I would like to have more taste. Wine was great.

A really enjoyable evening at Circa 1875. The escargot was excellent, and the beet salad was fresh and well balanced. The ribeye was one of the best steaks I’ve had in a long time, cooked perfectly and full of flavor. My wife loved the scallops and finished every bite.
The service was great as well. Annie was attentive without hovering and did a fantastic job steering us toward the right choices on the menu.
Overall, a great restaurant and a place we’ll definitely be back to.

Our waiter was extremely kind, comfortable and fast, he made us feel right at home! The Circa 1875 drink was tasty and unique, and the food was absolutely delicious! Scallops cooked to perfection. We were stuffed, otherwise we’d have tried the dessert! Next time we’re in Savannah!

Jeffrey is hands down one of the best bartenders I have ever come across. From the second you sit down, he makes you feel welcome without being overbearing, confident without being arrogant, and genuinely invested in making sure you have a great experience.
His drink knowledge is deep and precise. Whether you order a classic cocktail or ask for something creative, he delivers every time with balance, consistency, and attention to detail. You can tell he actually cares about the craft and not just the pour.
Beyond the drinks, Jeffrey runs the bar like a professional. He stays calm when it is busy, keeps things moving smoothly, and still finds time to connect with guests. He reads the room perfectly and adapts to whoever is in front of him, which is a rare skill.
If you are lucky enough to get a seat at Jeffrey’s bar, you are in excellent hands. Great drinks, great service, and the kind of bartender who makes you want to come back again and again.

This place was nice, we had some escargot (amazing) and the swordfish (kinda bland). Mainly enjoyed the drinks we had and the service. The bartender: Ian suggested i try his new concoction because I had an espresso martini (watery) to start. His concoction was similar to an espresso martini but had a hint of spice to it. I LOVED it. So much we each got 2-3. The atmosphere is really classy. The architecture is beautiful and if I got the chance to come back for some apps and drinks I would.

We had dinner there last Saturday and really enjoyed the atmosphere and outstanding service. The place has a unique vibe, and we particularly loved the downstairs room.
Our server Emily was an absolute legend, as she was very attentive throughout the entire meal. The food was somewhat of a letdown. The appetizers were pretty good, especially the Coquille St-Jacques.
For our main course, we ended up splitting two dishes. The trout was ok, but not well seasoned, and just felt flat. The pork was the best of the two, but definitely not a lot of meat for the price. The creme Brule wasn’t my favorite either.
Overall, the atmosphere and service were great. The food wasn’t up to par, and disappointed us. We would definitely come back again and give it another shot.

Thought it would be nice to try this cute little French restaurant. I ordered the Escargot, my friend ordered the Steak Tartare and they were both very good. I would’ve liked for my Escargot to be served with some crostini’s but it was still good. My friend and I ordered some bread and our server told us that we wouldn’t be getting it until after our appetizer because that’s the “French way”. I feel like the butter served with the bread could’ve had a little bit more salt. We both ordered a bottle of wine to share, and it would’ve been nice for our server to tell us beforehand that we couldn’t split the bottle price. My friend ordered the Caesar salad and she loved it, and I also ordered the Seabass, which was the fish of the day. Again, I feel like my dish could’ve had a little bit more salt but it was still very good. All of the staff were very nice, but I feel like the service was a little slow. The presentation was nice but for my fish it looked like they just plopped everything on there altogether. I would like to come back again to try other things as well!

Exceptional French Dining , A Must for Foodies
Circa 1875 is an absolute must-stop for anyone who truly appreciates food done right. This was one of those meals you talk about long after you leave.
The foie gras was outstanding so good it was ordered twice. Perfectly prepared, rich, and balanced in true French style. For the main course, the steak fritts hands-down one of the best steaks we’ve ever had , cooked flawlessly, deeply flavorful, and incredibly tender.
Dessert was equally impressive and a perfect way to finish an already exceptional meal.
A special shout-out to Madison, our waitress, who was outstanding. She was knowledgeable, attentive without hovering, and her recommendations were spot-on. She clearly knows the menu and elevated the entire experience.
If you consider yourself a foodie, Circa 1875 is non-negotiable when you’re in Savannah. We’ll absolutely be back.

What a wonderful dining experience! Our waitress Betty was very welcoming and interesting to talk to. The tomato bisque was amazing and our group agreed that it was the best tomato based soup we’ve ever had. Other significant dishes that we really enjoyed included the freshly baked bread, beet salad, trout, duck, and steak. The chocolate mousse and creme brulee for dessert were so delicious as well! You should definitely check this place out.
