We have stopped by for dinner before and enjoyed our food. The steak flank is delicious here but we didn’t get a picture of it last time. The lamb patties are so tasty and the ribs are cooked to perfection. I was not the biggest fan of the fries with my burger since they felt a bit soggy and plain but the patty was flavorful and perfectly cooked. The crème brûlée was one of the best I’ve had. Overall the place has a lovely atmosphere and good food.

The food was delicious! Had small plates, ricotta gnocchi and the shrimp tacos. The shrimp was cooked perfectly. Also had the half platter raw selection, 8 oysters, 4 clams, 3 cold shrimp and 8 cold mussels. Small menu, but in my opinion, that’s great! Our server was on point and didn’t miss a beat. Sat in the dining room which is quieter than the bar area. Nice outdoor seating. The place does need a good cleaning. And the menu covers just need to be changed out. They were grubby. Over all, a good experience!

Circa in High Bridge, NJ was a delightful surprise! My wife and I ventured in for the first time and were immediately charmed by atmosphere and spaciousness. The option to dine indoors, outdoors, or at the bar was perfect for any mood. We opted for the bar, where the friendly service, great food and incredibly welcoming staff made our entire experience enjoyable.
But Circa’s magic goes beyond just the drinks and a great meal. We discovered their upcoming live music and comedy nights, which we will certainly be back for. This was the worst experience of my life they tried to charge me and 4 other 160 for some really small salads and the grilled cheese was uncooked burger bun with cheese still cold all that taking like 1 hour mind you it was nearly empty after talking to somone about this we were offered free dessert we happily accepted just to find that the crambule chocolate cake and short cake was shmashed so intenshionaly smashed and if they had the audacity to smash our dessert I know damn right they didn’t do a gloves which mind you is a violation in in the NJ health code do not eat here, but if you do or you walk by, make sure to flip them off for me and varying sizes of plates all for the same price like our fries on picture above is my grandmothers plate after she at some and the other is my moms right after we got it unacceptable i’m not normally one to do something like this, but this was truly a waste of time and the smashed desserts were insulting in conclusion steer clear!

Charming location on Main Street in High Bridge. Live music was playing in background while we had delicious small plates. I had a chopped salad, which was fresh. My mother had the roasted chicken, cooked to perfection. My brother had 2 oysters-huge & fresh. We also ordered fries. Hand cut and yummy. I did send my fish tacos back, but only because I have a sensitivity to spice and they weren’t described as having jalapeno spice. But they took it back and credited the bill, so all was made right.

Good service but the food was inconstant.
Mussels for appetizer were perfect. Steak and fries – meat was on right point but cold. Worst fries on planet, mushy and burned. See picture!
Fish and chips – Great fish, same horrible fries.
I complained to the attendant she offered me mashed potato to substitute the fries, but I was too tired and disappointed to wait more.

Tempora green beans, clams casino, were delicious! Vodka seltzer with lime was generous portion. Waiter was very attentive, food took longer than expected, but was delicious. We sat outside on a Sunday afternoon, after bike ride on Columbia trail, perfect ending to a perfect day.
Would recommend, and will return!
