Great vibe – don’t be fooled by the plaza or plain exterior. This place has an amazing cozy/sexy atmosphere that makes for a great date spot or sophisticated dinner!

We came specifically for the Caviar Service, one of the few places in north OC that does this. Really amazing service overall and everything we ate was delicious!

We’ll definitely back for another dress up date night.

I really enjoyed my time here. From the time you get in, this was pace is amazing! It’s a beautiful venue in unassuming strip mall. The decor is striking but a tad dark. The service is a 10 out of 10 and the food is excellent as well. All the fish dishes we had were Fresh and perfectly seasoned. There are two things that could better, one is that I was still a tad hungry after eating here and the other is there wasn’t a lot of people at the restaurant which may be a positive depending on who you are. Overall this place is a diamond in the rough and I would definitely come back here for cocktails as the bar is absolutely beautiful.

The place was neat, the service was great but the food meh…. I mean look at the size of the scallops!!! The plate looked like art but for a dish this expensive tiny scallops really? Glad I tried it but would not return.

Pretty mediocre. Waiters and customer service is amazing but the food is pretty mid. You’d look at the menu and expect all the items to be added to the drinks, just for it to be on skewers or attached to the side. The wagyu is good because its wagyu, not because the dish was made well, so it didnt feel like we got our money’s worth. Definitely meant for more social occasions.

This was my 2nd time here. First time was for drinks and dessert which I loved so I decided to come back for a birthday dinner. We had no problems getting a table for 5 on a Saturday at 7pm. We were seated in the back room. The atmosphere was very Vegas lounge like. They even had a dj come in at 8pm to play. The service here was really nice. Food and drinks we loved too. Asian fusion style of menu. We tried 3 of the desserts and all 3 were soooo good. Definitely a place for date night or celebrating a special occasion. They even gave the birthday boy a little birthday gift. A must try for sure for all. =)

If you are looking for an amazing experience of flavor exploding across your palate, I highly recommend checking this gem of a place out in Fountain Valley, CA.

The ambiance as soon as you walk in is relaxing, calm and inviting. Our waiter (so sorry I forgot his name) was knowledgeable on all the dishes and drinks on the menu. He was not trying to push the most expensive items on us, but rather took the time to ask what flavors we enjoy in our food, went in depth on his recommendations and…he literally made the experience so memorable, I will be returning.

Thank you CIR Lounge for your masterful work in culenary delectables, you have gained a new fan!

INTERIOR: Upon entering, the design and décor transports you far away from “homely” Fountain Valley. Moody and classy, the interior is pleasing with its cool tones and warm hues. The music selection was excellent, but slightly loud. For those who want to take photos here, note that the lighting is not very photo-friendly unless taken with flash. For makeup-wearers out there, make sure you aren’t wearing powders that give you flashback!

SERVICE: Krys was attentive, kind, and provided excellent service. We ordered everything at once, and items were brought out at a good pace.

BAR: The party before us was taking longer than usual, so we sat at the bar to enjoy some drinks. I had the Pretty in Panama, a fruity and not-too-sweet drink that masked the alcohol taste nicely. My partner ordered the espresso martini, which was rich and delicious, but might be “too strong” for infrequent drinkers. Towards the end, I ordered a Saigon Sling — it was balanced, flavorful, and definitely my favorite drink.

APPETIZERS: We ordered the baked cheese and crispy pork cheek buns. My partner said the baked cheese was well-balanced and flavorful. The crispy pork cheek buns had a very delicious sauce and the acidity from the carrot and daikon cut the fattiness of the pork nicely. Unfortunately, the pork pieces were waaaay too small, especially for the hefty $24 price tag.

RAW: We got the caviar cone. The caviar was delicious! I loved the way the yuzu crème fraiche provided subtle sweetness and richness while the cone itself gave the soft ingredients a fun crunch. Absolutely a fun way to spend $12.

SEAFOOD: We had the uni unagi chawanmushi and the truffle seafood fried rice. The chawanmushi was absolutely my FAVORITE item on the menu. Smooth, creamy, umami, balanced, and perfectly seasoned — I wish I’d ordered more. The fried rice was also delicious! The rice didn’t really seem fried, the texture was more moist, but not soggy. This dish was my partner’s favorite, especially with the smokiness of the grilled seafood, the rich seafood flavor in the rice, and the way the rice coated your mouth like a risotto. The seafood fried rice did, however, get too salty for me after a bit.

MAIN: We ordered the bone marrow bibimbap and lobster ramen. Both were delicious! The bibimbap got crispy where it touched the stone pot, which was soooo good with the tender wagyu. The lobster ramen had a rich seafood flavor, chewy noodles, and a good amount of seafood. I felt the scallops were slightly over-cooked and would prefer if the egg was soft-boiled, not hard-boiled.

DESSERT: I got a house sorbet on the house for my birthday. The sorbet was surrounded by a moat of Moscato. I ended up mixing everything together to make a “slushy” that was soooo good. Forget mimosas, I’m blending sorbet and champagne from now on! My partner got the banana miso cake, which definitely rivaled Gordon Ramsay’s sticky toffee pudding. The cake was moist, slightly crisp on the edges, and topped with a crispy candied banana.

OVERALL: My partner and I had an incredible experience! Everything was delicious, balanced, and crafted with care. Service was impeccable. I do feel that some dishes got a little salty (fried rice, ramen) and that the portions of proteins and vegetables were a little underwhelming for the price paid. We did order carb-heavy dishes, so I won’t remove a star or anything. Give CIR Lounge a try!

Some sparks of deliciousness but flavor were a little edgy. Very creative and worth a stop on Friday date night. The atmosphere was fantastic for the couple to get lost in their own world.

Best Brunch I’ve had in the OC! I love that their menu were unique and really creative. I love their fresh take on some classic asian dishes, such as Japanese Curry and Chicken Karaage. Really love the seafood flavors in their Trout Roe Cones, and Uni Unagi Chawanmushi. Aside from the amazing presentation, we really enjoyed all the delicious flavor of everything we ordered, I absolutely love the texture as well, especially the cone one, it was crunchy and creamy at the same time.

Such a beautiful spot too with the coziest ambiance and love the intimate vibe. Perfect for dates or celebrating special occasions.
