I recently placed an online order, and after my payment was processed, I was informed by the DoorDash driver that the strawberry was unavailable. To make matters worse, I was then told there would be a 10-minute wait for my delivery. It’s surprising that such a popular item could be out of stock when it seems so easy to send someone to the store to get it. This experience has been incredibly frustrating, and I can say with certainty that this will be my first and last order with your service.

This is a new pastry shop that lets you build your own cinnamon roll. Kind of a neat idea that I thought I would enjoy. Unfortunately, I did not really enjoy my food experience here which was based on a very berry cinnamon roll. On the positive side, these cinnamon rolls are a well made vegan alternative to traditional cinnamon rolls. They were fluffy and fresh. The roll also had a good texture to it, which can be difficult to achieve using vegan ingredients (at least based on the variety of vegan pastries I’ve tried). The service was quick and friendly. Keep in mind this business is electronic only and will not accept Cash payment (though will take cash tips).
On the negative side, I found everything overly sweet. Particularly the icing which was almost sickly sweet. Because the cinnamon roll was scalding hot – the icing that got slathered on immediately melted and broke apart leaving a highly unattractive finish that could easily bested by your average home baker. Unfortunately, vegan dairy has a strange aftertaste, and so too does this icing – after the super sweet taste leaves your palate you are left with this pungent aftertaste that lingers. I would probably avoid the basic ‘cream cheese’ icing as a result, perhaps other flavors of icing can take over instead and leave you with a more palatable finish.
I think for those who are strictly vegan, there’s likely something good to find here. However, I think the excessive use of sugar overwhelms everything and ultimately leaves you with a rather poorly executed pastry. Even the berry topping seemed to rely heavily on added sugars. I don’t normally waste food, but I threw out this cinnamon roll after just a few bites. I see no reason to try this place again as there are fundamentals about how the rolls are made which I see being consistent across any ‘configuration’.

I am from WI and vegan. Let me tell you how much I look forward to picking up cinnaholic anytime I’m traveling. Sadly the closest location to me is Chicago.

Cinnaholic is definitely a step up from Cinnabon with way more flavor and topping options. The rolls are very sweet—delicious, but definitely more of an occasional indulgence for me. Perfect if you’re looking to treat yourself every now and then.

The smell, the freaking SMELL takes all your common sense away as soon as you enter into the door. Lol. First timer but definitely won’t be my last. I had an old school with cream cheese frosting and strawberries on top. My soul temporarily left my body at the first bite. No lie. RUN for your life don’t walk there.
