That being said, the atmosphere is wonderful, especially the outdoor seating area—definitely a great vibe. I do plan to come back and give it another try, but it was a letdown for a first impression.
From the hostesses attitude to the waitress that NEVER showed up to our table the whole experience was awful!
The moment we walked in the shitty service began. They literally argued with us when we asked for more than one menu ( there were 3 of us) they said they couldn’t give us more than one because they had to give them to the larger parties, then after sitting there for well over 25 minutes just waiting to have our drink order taken while watching everyone that came in after us get their orders for food taken was very off putting. When we requested to have a waitress to come take our food order we were met with a glare and that waitress just walked away without any kind of a response or apology for the wait. Eventually our waitress did show up, she glared at us as well as she walked past our table to go to the hostess area, the waitress conversed with her who then pointed at us and said ” them”.
It was at that point we looked at each other and walked out. We went to Rons Roost. A WELL established West Side staple who knows how to do it right and treat their customers. And….the atmosphere at Rons is soo much nicer. Cinful Eats was cold and unwelcoming.
This establishment was a one and done for me (and my dinner companions) we will never be back in that place and certainly will not be recommending to anyone.
My only recommendation for this place would be to train your staff about good customer service (and get MORE menus, you clearly need them) or you won’t be around for very long on the West side. (doesnt matter who owns the establishment!) Good luck with that.
Like what they’ve done with the place, very nice. Food and service is good.
My (our) only complaint is the sound. You can’t ear people talking at your own table and you feel like you’re yelling so you can hear each other. May have to go at a less busier time, maybe it would be different, but we won’t go back during prime time again.
Need to put up some kind of acoustic deadening material in ceiling area and/or walls. Think this would help.
Side salads are a value at $5
Pepsi products – why? 99% of restaurants have Coke products and the iced tea is powdered tea.
Food- Firecracker chicken- served on one of the smallest plates and soupy sauce, the chicken was a piece of breaded chicken
Italian sub – here again the mozzarella cheese was breaded , the red sauce tasted like Chef Bouy R’D …with more onions than ever needed. Biting into it and all you tasted was onions …
I’m not sure what we were expecting but honestly this was one of the worst dinner experiences I’ve ever had. $40.25 later.
I’m sure some folks believe the food is terrific but candidly, I can’t recommend this place where $40 gives you breaded box food like chicken and mozzarella…
