Cindy’s is an old-fashioned diner with a small dining area and a lot of charm. Seating is limited in this popular spot, but customers are constantly coming or going. I was lucky to get a seat at the counter right away and decided to try their dish called garbage. It was a delicious mixture of different breakfast foods all together, and I savored every bite. They didn’t skimp on portions, that’s for sure. It was a good deal, too. The staff was friendly, and I enjoyed the atmosphere. I’d definitely drop by again if I’m in Fort Wayne.

Cindy’s is absolutely fantastic! With only 15 bar seats, you get an incredible experience chatting with your fellow diners and staff. Everyone is friendly and helpful and will gladly move over to accommodate new groups coming through the door. I highly recommend the garbage plate and the French toast. Will definitely come again 🙂

Cindy’s Diner in Fort Wayne is the kind of place that makes you feel like you’ve stepped back in time, in the best way possible. The diner might seem modest from the outside, but once you step inside, it’s like walking into a cozy, old-school eatery where every seat feels like the best seat in the house. The space is intimate, with classic diner stools at the counter that seem to welcome everyone like family. Though it’s small, the warmth and charm make it feel expansive, and the food is where it truly shines. We started with the special breakfast, and it was everything we hoped for. The over-easy eggs were cooked to perfection—creamy, with the yolk running just enough to soak into the soft, toasted bread. The slice of ham had a beautiful salty crispness on the edges, and it was juicy in the center, adding the perfect savory touch. The potatoes? Golden, slightly crispy on the outside, and fluffy inside, seasoned just enough to make every bite satisfying but never overwhelming. It felt like the quintessential diner breakfast, simple but made with care. Then, we ordered the French toast, which truly felt like a morning hug on a plate. The bread was thick, with a slight crispness on the outside and soft, custard-like on the inside. Each bite melted in your mouth, the sweetness perfectly balanced. The warm syrup pooled on top, infusing each forkful with a comforting sweetness that wasn’t too sugary but just right. Paired with a pat of butter melting slowly over the toast, it was the ideal way to start the day, both nostalgic and indulgent. Cindy’s may be small, but it leaves a big impression, offering hearty, delicious meals that bring a sense of home. It’s a place you’ll want to return to, not just for the food, but for the feeling it gives you.

I recommend the Garbage. If you’re feeling really adventurous, get it with sausage gravy and hot sauce.

Shame on me for not doing this on Monday. Today was our 2nd time and the food is so good. The staff is great and they are definitely close to the regulars. I highly recommend and will come back again the next time I’m in the area. Oh yeah, the prices are amazing.

I walked here from the Hilton hotel which isn’t far from this particular place. I ended up ordering three pancakes with scrambled eggs. The pancakes were huge and very good and the scrambled eggs were pretty good also. This seems to be the type of place where the staff knows just about everyone that eats their. The morning I went I seem to have been the only person that the staff did not know. They were very friendly and helpful and the prices were pretty decent. Much better than paying $18 at the hotel.

What a fun old school diner experience. Breakfast was one of the best I have had in Fort Wayne. The woman serving and the woman cooking add to the diners warmth and charm. Wife had the cheese burger, very happy.
