Tried this restaurant with my family for the first time. The food was very reasonably priced, it is CASH ONLY.
Was charged for extra salsa (each little side) – $2. This is not disclosed when requesting.
When I asked how much each extra one was, I was not given a clear answer.
Waitress was convinced she brought two but she only gave us one extra (unless I was charged for the complimentary one too). We had a party of 5, one salsa was not enough.
Would appreciate it if there was more transparency regarding pricing and possibly adding another staff member to assist.

Excellent Mexican food at a great price! This is a humble place with no frills, so I know I was in for an authentic mexican treat! I had individual tacos, and they were seasoned so well (especially the grilled fish!) with good portion sizing. I would go back for more had I stayed in town longer. Went with a group of friends, and they all also agreed this was a good find. Highly recommend!

Love this spot! Had the chicken enchiladas, pastor and fish taco. Everything was home made and very flavorful. The fish taco was one of the best I ever had. It’s a small mom and pop restaurant where everything is fresh and cooked to order.

5 Cinco De Mayo is a convenient restaurant when you want good food, be left alone and don’t want to spend a lot of money. It isn’t located in the nice part of Long Beach but it still felt safe inside. There’s parking in the back of the restaurant, which is also another way to enter into the restaurant. I’ve been here lots of times when visiting friends in Long Beach and I’ve never been disappointed with anything I’ve ordered. Actually the food is quite good. Its a great spot to chitchat without loud music and crowds of people. Its kinda my go-to spot in LB.

Ordered a shrimp taco combo and a chicken tostada. Both dishes lacked flavor. No seasoning what so ever. The chicken on the tostada was old. It didnt taste right. All the did was pile lettuce, tomatoes, sour cream and avocado on top.The veggies were fresh. However, you can tell the sour cream was going bad. As far as the shrimp taco, the tortilla needed to be cooked a little more, and tye shrimp needs seasoning. I hope that they do better. Im highly disappointed. I used to love Cinco De Mayo. Please do better. Smh

Thanks Alma, everything was Amazingly Delicious. I had Chicken Enchiladas with Green Sauce and Beans and Spanish Rice. Everything was delicious. We were able to dine here on our lunch break. Our food was served hot. I can’t say enough about how much I enjoyed my food. They have their own parking lot. So parking isn’t a problem. I will definitely be back. The food was just that delicious

This hole in the wall restaurant is perfect if you are in the mood for familiar Mexican food. This is where the Mexicans eat. The food is adequate, reasonably priced and the service is very friendly. Make this your go to a spot for around the corner Mexican food and you will be doing alright.

Well let me tell you that I found something difficult to trust!! but once inside the place is 8 minutes from the Aquarius of long Beach ⛱️ .. which is a great advantage .. Secondly, a clean place, the menu with several options apart from offering the Daily Special .. Our waitress Paty is very efficient and cordial .. Super clean bathrooms ….. and the moment of truth! the food, which we ordered tilapia al ajo. the place is small but very clean. and it seems visited by many regulars because the restaurant is full .. it is like a gem of food with Mexican flavor with homemade style !! which led me to do a review and recommend it to friends when they visit long beach ⛱️ ..
