The overall experience was good. Wasn’t busy at all and this was lunchtime on a Friday.

The good: Food was seasoned well…not too much salt and not too bland. The chicken fajitas were tasty. Chips and salsa were good. Our meal was fresh off the grill and came out pretty quickly. Nice sized dining room and lots of outdoor seating.

What could improve: The salsa dish was pretty small so we had to ask for more salsa. Our server did not ask us if we wanted to refill our drinks. The bathroom while not dirty was a mess with used paper towels overflowing onto the floor.

We would dine there again as the overall experience was good.

This location needs to travel to Owings Mills and be trained. This is pathetic. I ordered birria quesadilla to only get a reg quesadilla.
They don’t have street corn, mojarra nothing.
The one in Owings Mill I eat there alot because I work in the area. This doesn’t even compare to one their menu there and two the food. No flavor in anything. Disappointed

Ok so update. Im at the one in Owings mill and this the second picture is what the birria quesadilla is suppose to look like

It’s about time I got on here to leave a review. We come here 3-5 times a month. Cinco’s prices are the best, and their service is always phenomenal. We went yesterday afternoon and brought our baby. I ordered a strawberry marg with a sugar rim, and my husband ordered a Jalapeño marg with a Tajin rim. Their margarita’s are my favorite because they use fresh squeezed lime juice for every drink. We were given complimentary chips and salsa, and decided to add queso for $5. I love their chicken tacos (3 tacos, beans and rice. And, my husband gets something new everytime. He especially loves their Diablo tacos and Carnitas. The food always comes out correct, fast, and hot. I love that they have a variety of hot sauces and sour cream too. Richy and Beau are our favorite servers. They are very knowledgeable, efficient, and patient.

It’s very family-kid friendly; equipped with high chairs, a kids menu and lots of seating options. They have booth, table seating & an outdoor patio section as well. We always talk about how Cinco has the best location spot on the strip between Fratelli’s, and Black Hog. It’s definitely more of a Resturant vibe than a bar. They do have a few tv’s offering a variety of sport options, which is nice so my hubby can still go out +enjoy dinner, but also watch the football/hockey game to keep up with the score for his parlays.

They also have a weekly HH that changes daily, featuring a drink of the day and an appetizer. That is usually accessible on their website and stays up to date. So keep your eyes out and give them a try. I seriously can’t recommend Cinco enough. I’m also influencing friends and family to visit. As they are simply the best in Frederick.

Food was OK, but I can’t speak for the whole menu since I’ve only visited once. I had the chicken fajitas. The chicken was tender and moist. The sautéed vegetables and seasoning was very good also. The portion was very generous. It was the sides/add ons I found lacking. The rice, pico, and refried beans were very basic and bland. Service was very friendly and helpful and our meal came out quicker than expected. Family friendly atmosphere. Overall, if you’re traveling through the area and craving Mexican food, I feel it’s a decent option, however, it isn’t a venue I would go out of my way to dine at.

I LOVE coming here! Josie is my favourite server! She is always polite, professional, and a great conversationalist!

The food itself is amazing! My go to is the carnita bowl and I add chicken and shrimp to is with xtra rice! It gives so much protein and it’s sooo good!! It gives me so much energy to get through the day and their portion size is enough that I could split it if I would like!

My familia and I went (awhile back) excellent all around, quesadila, tacos , fajitas and nachos perfect and Miquel the host truly great. Thanks guys Stopped by twice since my initial post somethings gone downhill.
Last time we got the queso dip was watery, yesterday we got 2 quesadillas made with American cheese? Wow, were done…well iam a sucker for punishment, stopped by again with my wife, the chips and salsa were great, but we constantly had to ask the server for more chips and salsa, she would only bring one at a tine ??? the chimichangas were good, our server sucked, we had to constantly ask for stuff, she didn’t come by once…maybe next time iam thinking of coming ill look at my prior reviews. You guys blew it….iam a sucker for mexican, over the last 4 – 5years they’ve gone from 5 stars to 1 star. Stopped by with my wife for drinks and a appetizer. My wife loved her cocktails and i loved my draft modelo the coldest beer around on draft, we also had the best guacamole weve ever had. We will be back but just fir drinks and guacamole.

Food is overwhelming salty, not flavor at all just salty , service is lacking our server wouldn’t pay attention if we needed more drinks we kept having to be in the look out for her even tho we were the only table she was taking care of , I order a molcajete and i expecting a MOLCAJETE I got served some sort of fajitas in a bowl , my husband order al pastor tacos tasted nothing like al pastor tacos , corn tortillas are not homemade they use the ones from the package which have a very distinct flavor, I went to a cinco de mayo before that use to be in Kentlands food was also bad not surprised why they close never coming back here , 4 people spend about $150 2 beers 1 soda 4 dinners , not worth the money I should have just do next door instead

The first time I gave this place a shot, I walked in and stood for nearly fifteen minutes at the front of the store and no one helped me. I left and ate somewhere else. It’s been months, and I decided to DoorDash it from home, to try the food and avoid actually going in the place to be disrespected again. Let’s just say this – the cook MUST BE FIRED OR RE-TRAINED, and ALL PLANTS MUST BE REMOVED FROM THE COOKING AREA. THERE WAS A ROCK IN MY FOOD. the picture taken is from my leftovers I reheated on a plate since you can’t put the aluminum one they send in the microwave. What your cook did almost damaged my teeth when I bit, and could have punctured my digestive tract and intestines had I swallowed it. UNACCEPTABLE! I could not believe it!!! I have never seen this in my whole life!!!!! I do not review places but this is a safety hazard, the only thing worse would have been finding like an actual razor or something in the food. I don’t know why anyone needs to tell this to you, but y’all CANNOT BE FEEDING PEOPLE ROCKS. And I gave it a sec to examine it, thinking oh maybe it’s a spice that’s spherical and it just didn’t cook all the way – NOPE! When I bounce it off the counter it sounds like a rock, and has little ridges in it like a rock. If it walks and talks and quacks like a duck it’s a duck, and this is a ROCK. Will not be returning!

Had a great meal here. The chips and salsa were delicious, with just a bit of heat to the salsa and you could tell it was fresh made. We both ordered tacos and they were SOOO GOOD. I ordered the pork and pineapple tacos and the pork was so tender and so delicious. My wife got a mix of 3 tacos, shrimp, carne asada, and Diablo which was very spicy but she said still really good. The spicy salsa that comes with the tacos was great, only needed a little bit to get a nice kick. We definitely will be going back!

Outstanding food. Been struggling to find a really good Mexican food restaurant in Maryland, and so far this is definitely the best. Had their tacos for lunch – they used traditional ingredients but prepared it in a somewhat unique way. Usually when a place “chefs” something up they tend to make the dish weird, but that was not the case here. Really delicious. Portions were gigantic though – each taco came with two corn tortillas; I was able to divide the filling of each taco in half, take the extra tortilla, and double my tacos, which I took home. I was still stuffed with just half the food (!). The margarita was also gigantic, got sauced on just half of it, though it too was delicious. So even though I felt like I was visiting a restaurant run by giants, I really enjoyed it.
