We were visiting for my wifes birthday and wanted to try the most authentic Mexican food we could find. We landed here. no AI pictures for the food, interior decor was beautifully authentic. With in seconds of being seated Diego greeted us with a bright smile. He let us know about the drink specials, the margaritas were fantastic! The first margarita tasted of fresh lime but the second one tasted more of tripple sec which was the only fault we found in our experience. We asked Diego for recommendations on different dishes since we were looking for the most authentic dishes and he was super helpful! We ordered the fajitas especial and the bistec al la Mexicana (not sure if I spelled it properly) we both got corn tortillas (they are hand made) every single bite was better than the last. I bet we did the happy food dance continuously. The salsa and cheese dip were fantastic! You can always tell how good a restaurant is by their salsa and let me tell you we knew from the jump it was going to be amazing! Even the sweet tea we got to go was wonderful. We live about two hours away but will definitely be back just for Cinco De Mayo! Thank you for a wonderful experience again Diego!

A wonderful atmosphere as soon as you walk in the door. The wait staff is attentive and service is prompt. Their menu has plenty of options for any palette and the food arrived quickly, within 15 minutes of ordering. I ordered the chicken enchiladas verdes, which were delicious. There was plenty of chicken and the verde sauce in combination with the sour cream was the perfect balance. Will definitely come here again!

Cinco De Mayo has excellent food, with large portions. Very authentic. They do have a large lunch menu, which sadly you are not able to order from on Sundays when I am most likely to go. Still the prices are fair and the staff is attentive.

This place was alright. I’ve had better mexican food in Tallahassee. I suggest that they not put beer in their Carne asada. I do recommend they use cactus and green onions & a toriado jalapeño for this dish it will sell better, I believe. But I did like the queso and chips. The staff was friendly. waiters are always super friendly and definitely pays attention to when ya need another cold one and the food is always delicious and kitchen staff on point. I don’t think we have ever waited more than 10min after we have put in our orders.

We are new to Tallahassee from the West Coast. We have tried several Mexican restaurants and haven’t really been impressed with the flavor of the food. Until now. Everything we had was really good. Worst restaurant I’ve ever eaten at. Super rude staff who ignore when you are speaking to them. I order chips and salsa with queso and it was so watery and not legit and tasted horrible. I’d rather go to Taco Bell than spend my money at this restaurant.
