Fajita with pina was fantastic. It has chicken, steak, and chorizo along with peppers, onions and pineapple chunks. The meal also included the traditional beans and rice. The food was fantastic and the portions were huge.

We love Cinco de Mayo! The atmosphere is so colorful and inviting. I usually get the piña colada margarita and the arroz con pollo or tacos. The servers are so friendly and the food comes out very quickly. They have a wonderful patio where you can have some sangria and authentic Mexican food and watch people go by before we go swing dancing on Tuesdays at Rosa Park. Special thanks to our server, Evan for a fun night out!

Delicious!!! Super friendly, accommodating staff, and fun atmosphere! Margs were on point, and they let us paint their windows for World of Winter!!! ❄️ I will definitely be back!

A bit pricey, but that’s what you get in a city. The food was excellent, as were the margaritas. Kevin was our waiter and he was great, very likable. I came here 2 nights in a row (for a 3 day conference) and brought more friends the second time, and we had a great time.

We only had a flight of margaritas and chips and salsa and sat outside. The margs could have used a little more tequila. It was memorial Day so not very busy, which was nice. Lots of people driving by showing off their cars.

5/5! We were in a hurry to get to an event and we walked in stating we were in a hurry and needed something fast. The hostess helped us out right away, recommended the 3 taco dinner. And we chose ground beef flour tortillas. Comes with rice and beans. They were phenomenal and they had the food out in what felt like record timing. We were able to sit and actually eat it there and they were more than accommodating. Great food and great service. Highly recommend and would return for more !

The food is normal Mexican food like many other Mexican restaurants. It has a nice atmosphere and is a good place to take the family for a night out.

Just left and we were not pleased with the service. It took 10+ minutes to be greeted at our table. Luckily we were all ready to put our order in because the waitress was never around. We got cheese dip and it tastes like it came out of a jar. Our tacos were okay but not worth 14 for 3 tacos with chicken and cheese on them. Plus it’s never a good sign when they put on the menu chips and salsa refills do not come complementary.

This is a great place for Mexican food. I ordered the pork quesadilla rellena with double rice (on the side) and it was so good! I was pleasantly surprised with the flavor of the pork. Portions were excellent.

I ordered the ultimate coronarita which was also delicious! It was huge, 38oz, and the price was decent for the size.

My only complaint is that the tables are so high, a few inches higher than they should be, and it was hard for my son to sit in a high chair and for me to sip my marg with how high the table was! It would be awesome if they could be lowered a bit, as my entire party noticed this too.

Overall great place. They up-charge for extra chips and salsa, but the first is free.

If you want to sit outside and enjoy a beverage on the blocked off Monroe Center St on a pleasant afternoon, Cinco de Mayo is the place for you. If you want to eat good Mexican food, plenty of better options will be superior for you in Grand Rapids, many of them less expensive. We were literally at the end of our 15 minute waiting time after being seated for someone on the waitstaff to check in with us. I wish they had approached our table 45 seconds later. The service was fine and food delivered promptly. However, the chips were stale and flavorless, the fajitas particularly greasy, and my dining partner’s food overall flavorless. I don’t expect I’ll be back.
