We came here for lunch and had a great meal! We each ordered a Thai iced tea for drinks, and we got a Set 1 boiled style and a Set 1 fried style of the signature chicken rice. Everything tasted great, and the service was quick and friendly. We both enjoyed the boiled style more than the fried style, so we’ll definitely be back for more of the boiled style signature chicken rice next time!

Used to like this spot a lot, but now not so much.
When did it become cash-only?? On Google it says that if you pay cash, you get 10% off. We didn’t get any discount; instead, they added extra fees I’ve never seen at other places.
2% Philadelphia tax??
6% Pennsylvania tax?? What does that even mean lol. Why are they forcing us to pay in cash and we still have to pay all these taxes/fees.
I wouldn’t mind if the food was good. The food came out super quickly and was very dry. Not worth the money, in my opinion.
Also, they close at 3 PM every day and reopen about an hour later. I believe the last dine-in is at 2 PM, but I’m not 100% sure. Best to call ahead and ask.

Been coming here every year for Pax U for 3 years now and its legit one of the best thai style hainanese chicken rice places in america.
What really makes it special is the absolute bargain price point they sell it at.
I highly recommend getting the mix plate with both the fried chicken cutlet and hainanese chicken. Its a 10/10 dish.

I’ve dined in and gotten take-out and both times were excellent. The food is consistently good and so comforting. Don’t even get me started on the mango sticky rice. So yes, I will be back

Delicious fried chicken that comes with a variety of dipping sauces. The ginger rice is good too. Some of the best protein:dollar value you can get around here imo.

My got to spot for a good Hainanese style chicken. Their boiled chicken is tender and moist. The sauce goes perfectly with the rice and meat. Don’t even remember the number of times we order from them.
The only con is that this place is cash only.

Yesterday we had pineapple fried rice (extra spicy) and drunken Pad Thai noodles (spicy) at Cily Chicken Rice and Thai Food, and it was honestly amazing. I’ve tried many places in Chinatown, but this one is the best so far. The food was fresh, flavorful, and served hot. The spice level was perfect and exactly how we wanted it
The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and the service was quick. The place has a nice vibe and feels comfortable. Definitely recommend this spot if you’re looking for good Thai food. I’ll surely visit again and again!

Food and service was great.
Place is a bit small but has nice cute decor.
Next time we were in the area will stop by to try something else.

A small mighty restaurent in China town. Service was good , staffs are attentive , food came to our table quick and hot. Very conveniently located once you you find your parking near by. Restrooms are clean , max 30 people seating capacity . Food tasted good though based on your food selection. You will find various Thai flavors with some mix like fried chicken. Limited menu and believe all should be tasting good. We ordered stir fried chicken with veg , Thai basil fried chicken, spring roll , tomyum soup. Food portion is good for a single person. I ordered medium spice for fried rice and stir fried chicken(it’s very hot and I struggled to consume the whole food), usually I will be able to handle spicy food but for me it’s struggle , so be sure before you order for hot spicy. Spring roll does not seems like house made. I felt the price is bit higher for 2 person we ended up paying (60 incl tip). No complaints on food quality and serving but the price for the tiny store was no justifiable but still it’s good place for Thai food. Will recommend

Known for their best chicken and rice. BUT their curry is underrated! One of the best thai curry I’ve ever had.
