If we had to choose the best place to eat in downtown Akron, that would be it!
Great cocktails, excellent food, tasty desserts. Friendly staff.
Can be a bit busy at times, but that’s just an indication that many people share my view of Cilantro.

The server was a bit busy and took some time to come around to our table, but she was friendly.

I really enjoyed my meal, especially the Thai Basil Chicken. The Thai tea was extremely sweet and I ended up mixing it with my water. The fried cheesecake was good, but not something I’d get again.

this was the first time we tried cilantro and the experience was great! the atmosphere is unique and there is a wide variety of options on the menu ranging from noodles, fried rice, soups, sushi. i also appreciate you can choose what level of spice you want your dish. we ordered two appetizers: seaweed salad and papaya salad. both a 10/10! the beef pad thai was great, however a bit on the sweeter side. out of all of the dishes we tried, the akronite sushi roll takes the cake.. it was really delicious !!! service was a bit slow, but the food makes up for it. overall, i look forward to coming back to cilantro and trying their other dishes

Saturday family Dinner, first time in this place, nicely located in downtown Akron. The place is nicely decorated and it is pretty big. The food is a mix of Japanese and Thai food, we ordered 2 sushi’s one Poke and fried dumplings, everything was tasty and delivered quickly. Congratulations nice place.

I’m really pleased with the Thai food here. As for the sushi, only negative feedback — it was very bad. The fish didn’t seem fresh enough. If you want to try good Thai food, you’re welcome to come here. If you want sushi, go somewhere else — this place is not for you. The cider is also very tasty, I really like it.

My wife and I have been coming here for 8-10 years now, always had a good experience. However, the last two times we have gone, we have felt like it has fallen quite a bit…

To start, the Pad Thai USED to be spicy when you got it on different levels, however they seem to have “Americanized” it a bit and now even when I ask for a 3-4 spice level, it isn’t even spicy. Before, my wife could barely eat my pad thai on a 3, now she is eating a 4. I on the other hand taste no spice. The flavor is there, just no spice… the same goes for the chicken fried rice with spice. It used to be decently spicy on a 2, now it isn’t spicy at all.

They give you extra spice to add, but who the heck knows how much to add? And is that really what I want to do? Make my own food?? If I ask for spice, make it spicy!

The crab Rangoon is usually great, but the last two times it has come out cold or pre-cooked ahead of time…this was obvious because they weren’t hot and the bottom was like a pastry, like it sat around. I wasn’t too happy about it. We love this dish usually and honestly couldn’t stand it the last two times.

Lastly, the price has become outrageous… $80 before tip for a fancy sushi role, crab Rangoon, chicken pad thai, and chicken fried rice is crazy…. we only had water. This used to be ~$55-$60 total for us. Ever since Covid, they changed their pricing and I seriously think the pricing needs adjusted back. It’s absolutely not worth it. There are plenty of other Thai places that are more reasonably priced.

We will likely give it one more try before calling it quits, not holding my breath though.

Excellent Thai dining experience. The ambiance was good and created a pleasant atmosphere. Service was overall good, and the food was exceptional. Their Thai curries is a must try. Ths curries were the highly rich, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. The fried banana ice cream was outstanding and a perfect way to end the meal. Highly recommended.

We’ll start with the good here. The food is actually quite nice.. The sushi is fresh, and the noodles had good flavor. The standout was actually the miso soup, which is not a normal miso broth. it’s more similar to a ramen noodle broth, which is quite interesting. Now, for the bad, there is no physical menu here. Everything is a QR code, which you might think would just open a pdf file, but no, it takes you to their website. The website is very clunky to use it is hard to navigate and find things you may want to order it really dampers the entire experience. Also, the website runs super slow in the restaurant, according to the waitress. The internet in the restaurant is quite bad at times. So my question is, why have the digital menu then? My advice would be to look at home before you go. Yes, the website is still clunky at home, but at least you won’t spend 30 minutes in the restaurant doing it. You just got to remember exactly what you want while you drive and park. If it was not for this blizzard menu setup, it would easily be a 5 star restaurant from me. With reasonable prices for sushi and entrees. Also very friendly staff. Now parking is like other downtown akron restaurants you will have to park on the street or a garage. Also, food is a little slow to come out here, so don’t come for a quick bite at lunch. It’s excellent for a date night dinner service, though.

Just an outstanding lunch on every regard. Fast, fresh, full of flavor, color and texture. If I had to pick one slightly off ring to my palette it was the house dressing, which was a tad sweet to my liking, but it was just delicious if your not trying to avoid sugar.

Bruce was outstanding in service.

I will be back when I’m in akron and may make a few trips for dinner with my bride.

I had a Hot and sour (Tom Yum style) mushroom soup, salmon hand roll and ginger stir fry veggies with a #3 heat level.

Again, an outstanding meal. Highly recommend.
