Go big or go home! Had to order a tray of tacos for the team and was pleasantly surprised with how well seasoned they are. Staff was super sweet and the new owners even stopped by our tables to say hello. What won my heart though was the delicious horchata. Definitely coming back!

We got the pastor taco and the plant-based impossible meat taco dinners. Food was hot, fresh, and tasty! I appreciate that they are one of the only local mexican restaurants I know of with a plant-based protein option! They were also very accommodating with some special requests I had like asking for no cheese and no cilantro (the irony is not lost on me)

Family-friendly atmosphere and delicious food! We ordered the Asada Fries and the Belly Bowl with asada. The fries were perfectly crispy and topped with plenty of guacamole and pico de gallo. The asada was juicy and full of flavor, and the salsas were all amazing—especially the green one, which ended up being my favorite. We really enjoyed everything! For desert we had the Choco-flan, this is a must try.

So first time at the Wheeling, IL location. I walk in and at the counter they have advertisement for February lunch special 3 taco dinner for $10. Great I thought, I ordered the special and a drink to go. After I paid and I got my receipt, they charged me $10.99 for the February special. I asked the cashier, and he said that’s what you ordered. I said correct, but your advertisement says $10. He just shrug he shoulders as to say oh well! The .99 cent up charge is no big deal, it’s the false advertisement they are promoting and not letting the customer know that you are being charged more. Food was okay, I support all of the local restaurants in Wheeling. Needless to say, I probably won’t be going back to Cilantro Taco Grill. There are other better options for tacos in the area.
