I’ve been meaning to try Cilantro for a while so I’m glad I got to stop by this local, woman-owned business.
First, the good: I ordered the taco dinner and it was *delicious*. Everything was fresh, seasoned just right, and plentiful. I loved my meal!
Now the not great: the price was pretty outrageous. I paid over $20 for my meal plus a can of coke. I wouldn’t think twice about paying that much for table service and unlimited soft drinks but it’s really hard to justify that price when I can get a similar meal in the neighborhood, including soft drink refills, for about $13.
I’ll definitely return once in a while because it’s important to me to support local but most of the time, I’m going to save money and go to less expensive places.

Ok there than this place looks and feels like a bootleg chipotle, j was surprised to see $2 taco Tuesdays specials and actually those tacos were super good, decent size ,double tortillas the carnitas were just perfect amount of fat and pork , kudos to the pastor as well, really outstanding stuff here, I don’t like the kiosk ordering but whatever, guess what, it did used to be a chipotle!!!

I understand the appeal of a quick-service restaurant, but my recent visit to Cilantro Grill fell short of the mark. The experience started on a sour note when the staff didn’t acknowledge me, even when I was standing right in front of them, which felt incredibly unwelcoming.
The wait time was also a significant issue. During a busy lunchtime rush, there was only a single person working the grill. This seemed like a poor decision that created an unnecessarily long wait for everyone, clearly prioritizing profit over customer comfort and efficient service. When the food finally arrived, it was quite average and didn’t really stand out.
Adding to the uninspiring experience, the restaurant’s ambience was lacking. It felt very functional and could use some effort to create a more comfortable and inviting atmosphere for diners.
Overall, while the concept of a quick-service spot is fine, the execution on this visit was disappointing. Between the lack of basic customer service, the excessive wait time, and the uninspired food and atmosphere, it wasn’t a place I’d rush back to.

Rice portion was abysmal and rice was soggy. Burrito was sad. Mostly beans. Pork was dry, chewy, and fatty. Hardly any lettuce. No tomatoes, sour cream, or avocado. Based on other reviews, seems this isn’t uncommon, and it’s not just an off day for the chef as the business keeps suggesting.
Horchata at least was good.

The best tacos I’ve had in a really long time! The meat was sooooo tender and tortilla so authentic. I loved their special sauce as well!!

Ordered through uber eats. Picked 2 orders of the queso birria tacos. 4/6 of the tacos were literally just filed with beef fat. Picture attached. I don’t understand how who ever made this thought that was okay. It wasn’t edible. Got my gf the churro she’s a big sweets person. She said it wasn’t good either very bland and texture felt like it was old. Had to toss it all and order from somewhere else. Don’t recommend this place.

Great little place to come grab something quick to eat. Plenty of seating inside, albeit it’s pretty bare bones inside. There’s some nice patio seating when the weather is good. Had a great steak burrito with mild sauce for $11 – basic but very tasty and a good portion side. I’d happily come back.
Edit to add: all I mean by basic is that it’s no frills or anything that would put a picky eater off — just quality, simple ingredients 🙂

Really tasty, fast Mexican food! Very clean inside, and very friendly & helpful staff. Amazing selection of meats, even Impossible Burger for vegetarians. Lots of drink options, including many flavors of Jarritos. I would definitely choose Cilantro over nearby Velvet Taco, Allende, or Chipotle, as their menu has better options and their food is much higher quality.

I have heard of the restaurant and was finally able to go there for lunch I do got to say the tacos were very very good I really like the way the tortillas were prepped not all soft and falling apart but a slight crisp made it really really good The restaurant was very clean very comfortable and the cashiers were very nice I will definitely stop in there again

Must try in LP! Enjoyed a fantastic burrito today at Cilantro. The food was great, very fresh tasting and high quality ingredients. I also had a churro which tasted just like the one I had in Madrid! Service was great and all the workers were friendly and had a smile on their face. The store is very well kept and they promptly clean the tables after people eat. 10/10 can’t wait to return.
