BEWARE!!!!! DO NOT EAT HERE!!!! The good reviews are from when this place used to be Taco Town. We tried this place and the food was terrible. The meat is very very old, I think since they aren’t that busy the food is not rotating fast enough. My carnitas taco was grey and the barbacoa taco was some weird pale unidentifiable meat. It had the consistency of rubber. We gave our feedback. We were supposed to hear back from the manager for a refund. He never called.

What a disappointment of a place. Have ordered pickup from here multiple times, always for 5+ hungry fellas minimum. Every time we’re extremely clear about asking for at least 2 salsas minimum per guy, and nearly every time they short you, and it seems like you have to beg just to get a couple more. Ordered a double steak belly bowl that was underwhelming. The steak lacks flavor and freshness. You would think there would be a larger portion for the prices they’re charging.

I hate having to complain about this place , because i Love Cilantro grill, just not this one in Elmwood park.. the customer service is absolutely terrible!! About two months ago, i placed an order for pick up & my son picked it up for me, they forgot to give him the 3 drinks I had ordered and paid for. I called them and spoke to the lady that took my order and she gave me ” 12.00 credit for the next time,becauseshe could NOT refund the money and we were not driving back. I took down her name, date and time and i asked her , how long do I have to use this credit, she said its under your name , it doesn’t expire because it was our mistake… moving forward to today i call to order for pick up again and the lady that answered the phone ” Angela” if thats even her name ,was actually pretty rude , from the moment she answered the phone and claimed , even after i explained and gave her name date and time, said she cannot and will not honor that credit, also I proceeded to let her know how this is terrible customer service and that i would be putting in a complain and she did not care and told me go ahead. So, unfortunately, I will not patronize this location again , because customer service is very important and we order and eat at their establishment frequently, spend alot there and feel that this could have been handled better .. its not about the Money, its about the service !!

Across the street from Johnnie’s Hot Dog place. Really friendly and helpful workers. The food was perfect and plentiful. Hot sauce was not too hot but not mild. There is parking in that u, but most was taken from customers at Johnnies. Street parking is available but not free.

Wow got some real good food today the quesabirrias are so good clean and the seasoning is on point . Tacos hit the spot .. kids maxed out on the fries nice and crunchy well cooked. Overall really good experience felt very welcoming, horchata and agua de piña great picks! Will be back forsure

Agua de piña is so refreshing! Their horchata taste great! I highly recommend if you’re looking for authentic tacos! Also had a vegetarian tostada. A taco de chile relleno. They offer a red salsa to top off your plate, or two different green salsas, the light green has more of a kick to it if you want spicy.
For dessert we got some caramel empanadas which were PERFECTION to end lunch! New favorite place! All under $30!
