Went here on a double date. Between the 4 of us we got 2 birria enchiladas, the mahi tacos, and the salmon tacos. And 1 watermelon margarita. The birria was by far the star of the show. The margarita was also good. The mahi tacos were ok but I wouldn’t get them again. Of particular note for everyone that doesn’t like cilantro, it is not possible to get plain rice. They only have cilantro rice. Sitting on the patio was nice, inside was a bit loud.

Nice little spot to have a meet up at. Cozy, intimate vibe. Needs a heating upgrade it was a little chilly inside. The margaritas were good. Fajita was goid, meat was tasty and tender. My wife had the burrito and it was smothered in sauce (let the server know if you don’t want it that way). Not authentic mexican if that’s what you’re looking for, but still tasty. No chips and salsa, no red salsa at all. Very clean, except for the menus, which had residue left them. The server was very attentive and super friendly. I think the young lady was new, but did a very nice job. I don’t live close but her pleasantness will make me likely to return. I came on the weekend but I hear they have good happy hour specials during the week.

Absolutely amazing! I’ve been to Cilantro every single day this past week—yes, it’s that good! The food is always fresh, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The staff are so welcoming and attentive, they really make you feel at home every time you walk in.

The decor is beautiful and cozy it’s got this relaxed, stylish vibe that makes you want to stay longer. Honestly, it feels like a hidden gem, and I’m so glad I found it.

If you haven’t tried Cilantro yet, do yourself a favor and GO! You won’t be disappointed.

I got queso, enchiladas suizas, and tres leches cake. The food was very good but the tres leches was a standout!! I didn’t even want to get tres leches since it’s consistently been a disappointment since I moved to Maryland even at highly rated popular places with otherwise fantastic food such as Clavel. It’s usually dry, too sweet, and has weird things like coconut. This cake was simple, super moist, drenched in milk, and lightly sweet. It was perfection. I ended up ordering a full sheet for my daughter’s bday party just to eat it again. Super excited and hope they make it exactly the same way!

My husband and I love going here. Everything is always delicious and plentiful. Service is great and the atmosphere is nice. It’s a small place but it never disappoints. My fav. are the shrimp tacos, they certainly don’t skip on portion size.. can’t wait to go for Happy Hour.

Had an incredible dinner at Cilantro’s! The sangarita was refreshing and full of flavor, and the cochinita pibil was tender, rich, and absolutely satisfying. The service was warm and attentive, and every dish felt thoughtfully prepared. Can’t wait to come back!

Cilantro’s Neighborhood Cantina is a special place for my husband and me, and we wish we could give it more than the maximum rating stars, not only for the quality of the food but for the exceptional people there. We have gone to Cilantro’s on numerous occasions since it first opened in Glenelg, MD and have enjoyed all of the Latin delicacies they have to offer (it’s scratch-made Latin food, not your typical Mexican taco joint). The reason we kept going back in addition to the food was because of the customer service from both Emily and Blake at the bar. No two people make you feel more special than they do. Well, here comes COVID-19 and we have been on lock down at home for six months with nowhere to go for our 35th wedding anniversary in September. We wanted a special experience and immediately thought of Cilantro’s so we talked to Emily to reserve their outdoor seating area and requested a special five-course surprise meal made by the chef/owner, Mr. Yampier Santana. They not only accommodated us but decorated the area for us with flowers and gifts, had our favorite libations at the ready (checking with us in advance to see what we wanted to drink) and then presented the MOST AMAZING six-course meal. Yampier outdid himself and presented an incredible array of delicacies where he was able to showcase his prowess of culinary mastery, and Emily made us feel like the term “VIP” was nothing compared to how we were treated. The Butternut Squash Soup, Scallops with Polenta, Chicken Tamale with Mole Sauce, Beet and Avocado Salad, Sea Bass with Cilantro Rice, and an incredible dessert of Fried Donuts and Plantains with Custard were to die for. We did not feel rushed at all, we felt safe in this environment, and knew that they exceeded our expectations in delivering a special experience for us. If you want a quick carry-out meal, a seat outside for a peaceful dinner experience, or a special occasion experience, they will not let you down. Without reservation we highly recommend Cilantro’s Neighborhood Cantina and their exceptional staff and owner. We feel like part of the “Cilantro’s family” and I hope they have a long-lasting stay here in Glenelg, MD.

Went to Cilantro for the first time tonight and tried the chicken burrito and the spinach and corn enchiladas. Enchiladas were great and burrito was good, but I wish I could pick a different sauce. It was self-seating which was perfectly fine. We did have to ask for napkins and didn’t receive menus, but we just looked up the menu online and ordered after. The guacamole was good too and you can pick the heat level (mild, medium, hot) and the medium definitely has a kick. It seemed like there was only one waitress working so we totally understand and were patient. Check it out, pretty cool place.

Oh my gosh – words don’t describe how great this place is! The classic margarita: delicious and well-crafted with fresh squeezed lime juice. The guacamole: made to order with fresh tomatoes and cilantro – delicious. The mahi mahi tacos featured perfectly grilled filets with purple Cabbage and pineapple. The spinach and corn enchiladas were the best I’ve ever had with enchilada sauce worthy of licking the spoon. But the best part of our dinner was meeting Emily and Mary who immediately welcomed us and guaranteed we will be back. Very highly recommend.

Hidden gem! Must try if you are in the area. Flavorful Caribbean cousine at great prices. Tried their ropa vieja with cilantro rice and sweet plantain. The churro donuts were to die for. Service and portion sizes were great. Servers were super nice. Definitely will be visiting again.
