Honestly surprised how good this spot is.
Cilantro Mexican Grill feels like one of those low-key food court places that ends up beating half of the big restaurants in the area. The food comes out fresh, portions are big, and everything tastes exactly how you want it to after a long day. Their bowls and burritos are packed, the flavors are legit, and nothing feels cheap or rushed.

I eat here WEEKLY. Been coming for years so Ive definitely seen the decrease in portion sizes and increases in prices over time and it’s drastic FOR SURE. But make no mistake, the quality is TOP TIER and has never been compromised. You can see them constantly grilling and the meat is cut big, juicy and packed with grilled flavor. My go to is the tostada. The salsas, Serrano pesto (MUST HAVE), veggies are always super fresh. The rice and beans cooked to perfection. They put this seasoning on their chips, fried stuff, and jalapeños that is just heavenly. The quality ingredients and unique seasonings are what make every single bite the perfect bite.

I was at union staion. Cause I was at a work training and im from chicago and we was on break and im not eating meat right know and I was like let me see about a rice bowl and I got a taco bowl with half rice half beans all the veggies and when I tell u that was the best vegan vegetable meal I ate since I been here in LA it tasted so good I loved it I will have to go to a store its about 15min away from my hotel or maybe I can get it delivered but I am here another week and I will have to get that again. Great meal

Can’t rave enough on these breakfast burritos. Best in town! I personally love the location for a pick up. I come for the quality of food but wouldn’t recommend for a sit down although if alone or with one other couldn’t be nice. It’s located in a gas station so grab a candy as you leave. Wait is a bit long because they are so busy, order ahead!

Ordered their barbacoa breakfast burrito with habanero and avocado salsa inside. They didn’t even put any salsa inside and it tasted very plain. Tried the turkey sausage one too and it wasn’t anything special. Definitely not worth the prices for mid food.

Parking can be rough depending what time a day, but it’s worth it.
They were a little off their game today, mixing up a little bit of my order. But it’s okay though. I still like the place. The burritos used to be better a few years ago, but even the negligible decline is still better than some of the other burritos in the area.
$14 or so: Today I opted for the Carnitas burrito, basically roasted pork. Absolutely delicious! What I like is the fact that they do give you a lot of meat, so it’s not just all beans and rice.
I say they were a little off their game, because it took an unusually long amount of time to get my order. Bordering on 25. Usually it’s around 10 minutes, maybe even less. And they really weren’t that busy either. Maybe training new staff? Not sure exactly what was happening.
A few years back, they used to have a full-blown salsa bar in the middle of the dining area. Now it’s just down to jalapenos, radish, some other random toppings. But I wish they would bring back the salsa bar!
Anyways, yes, the parking is rough. There’s only about 6 or 7 spaces dedicated to the convenience store, which also carries over to the burrito place. So you’re fighting with people that are pumping gas, going inside to get a beverage or something, and then having to deal with the people that are there just for the burritos or the tacos or whatever.
This place does kind of remind me of those midwest, and Deep South spots that are tucked inside of a gas station. That’s exactly what this is. The food is great, the guy behind the counter taking your order is great too. I just don’t know what happened with the line Cooks on this particular day. But don’t let that hinder you. You’ll have to experience it for yourself.

Different being in a gas station but was clean. Service was very friendly food had nice flavors but I do have my personal favorites the shrimp tacos, chicken and beef barbacoa were contenders. So all in all it’s a place to try when you’re out in North Hollywood.

Most delicious and expensive gas station burrito I’ve yet to eat. $17 California burrito and it tastes like some awesome restaurant. Comes with free fruit drink. he chips are the best I’ve ever had, anywhere. The gas station is really clean so it’s not uncomfortable to eat there.
