Absolutely fantastic experience, The food was excellent, and the interior is beautiful and very welcoming. It was my first time visiting Cilantro Indian Bistro, and I loved it. As someone who enjoys Indian food and finds it very similar to Nepali cuisine this place truly exceeded my expectations.
We tried the goat biryani, paneer tikka, samosa chaat, garlic naan, butter naan, and chicken curry. Every dish was perfectly cooked, full of flavor, and the spice level was exactly what I expect from authentic Indian food.
To finish, the masala chai was absolutely delicious and the perfect way to end a wonderful dining experience. I highly recommend everyone to visit and enjoy the amazing Indian food here.

Food is soo good! Me and my friend had the Chicken Biryani with Buttered Naan, and a cocktail (berry Mojit). Then we had a rice pudding for my birthday. It was so good and thanks to our waiter Rishi, we enjoyed our time and will be more than happy to come again!

I have dinner here a second time already. And if I live in Ellsworth, I’ll be coming here everyday! Amazing food, amazing staffs and amazing ambiance! Definitely recommend all the food in the menu. I had medium goan vindaloo the first time and spicy mango chicken the second time. Beautiful flavours

I had been craving Indian food for a long time, and finally made it to Cilantro, and it was AMAZING. Everything we got was fantastic. Two of us split the following and had plenty for an additional meal the next day:
Plain naan,
chicken tandoori,
lamb laal maas (since it was a chef’s specialty that I had never tried before),
palak paneer (spinach, cheese, and cream),
chicken tikka masala,
raita (tangier than I am used to, but lovely),
mango chutney,
mint chutney
Definitely more food than two people needed or could finish in one sitting, but we wanted to try a variety of things and our expectations were exceeded by a longshot.
The service was courteous and attentive without being fussy. All of the food was flavorful with a nice, warming level of heat that never overpowered the other flavors. You can request everything mild as well if you want.
The portions look small in the picture: they are NOT!
I will happily go back. Quality, price, service, portions … everything was exceptional and I highly recommend!

It looks as though the curse of this building has finally been broken! After the last few restaurants, I did not have high hopes for the newest one. But from the moment I walked in, it was clear things were different this time. The inside has been remodeled, featuring a beautiful bar in the center of the main section with semi-private seating to the side for sit-down tables. Very clean and has a good ambiance.
Service was attentive, friendly, and the staff genuinely seemed happy to be there, adding a warmth that set the tone for the whole meal.
BEST PART: The food, was absolutely delicious! Dishes arrived hot, flavorful, and fresh. You could tell the kitchen truly cares about what they’re putting out. The portion sizes were generous enough that I ended up with leftovers, which is always a win. And the strawberry margarita? Delivered!
By the time I left, I was already planning my next visit. Overall, I was very impressed and firmly believe that if you give it a chance, this place will be sticking around for a while.

Had a large party and multiple checks and they were very accommodating. The menu was clear and they were able to answer any questions. I’ve never had Indian food before but I absolutely enjoyed the experience and trying something new. I cannot wait to go back and try something else!

Fantastic experience. My wife and I have tried most of the Indian restaurants in the state and have had many in other states such as high quality in NY and Cilantro in Ellsworth met our prayers for an excellent Indian restaurant to finally arrive in the greater Ellsworth area! We will be back a lot and highly recommend to anyone that knows good Indian cuisine or is curious to try the real deal! You can indicate different spice levels and we appreciate all of the vegan and gluten free options. The food is flavorful, high proteins such as Dal and Chana, yet not too much oil so it is basically the best food on the planet! Our Riki was also a kind and genuine guy that we look forward to seeing again! Thank you and we know you’ll do well!

I was very pleased with my experience here. The service was very polite and attentive. The atmosphere is modern without being too over-the-top. The tree topper was that the food was very flavorful. My only note is that the Extra Spicy could go up a couple notches for me. I was given a water and never even used it. For normal people, I think it probably suffices. I knew early on though that I am far from that. I could probably eat lava and say it isn’t hot enough. If adding more spice means I need to sign a waiver….so be it. I need to be brought to tears I’ll be back if I find myself in that area for dinner again for sure.
