Cilantro Restaurant is a fantastic addition to the area. The location is excellent and easy to get to, and the space has a modern, welcoming atmosphere that makes it perfect for a relaxed meal. The food was outstanding, with noticeable freshness in every dish. The calamari was the highlight—light, crispy, and perfectly fried. As a true calamari lover, I’ve tried it in many restaurants across the USA, and this one comes very close to perfection. The staff was also incredibly friendly and attentive. Some of the dishes didn’t even make it into the photos because they disappeared so quickly! Highly recommend visiting.

Hands down the BEST Dine-in Restaurant in Hazleton, PA right now. The top notch customer service, delicious food quality and superb ambiance has made it my favorite in the area! The churrasco steak was cooked perfectly and full of flavor including the whipped potatoes and steamed broccoli. My wife had the Shrimp & Crab Scampi. She ate it all up and did not leave any of it behind. I was able to try a bit of her dish and it was delicious. The 0 Proof Piña Colada was also refreshingly delicious. Our waitress was so friendly and attentive to our requests. Jose the Manager is the Man! He was great and constantly was checking on us and the rest of the patrons dining to make sure all was well as expected. Bathrooms were clean and smelled luxurious. Plenty of parking on site. Ramp entrance with a wrap around deck. Can’t wait for Spring/Summer ‘26 to try the outdoor deck dining.

Food : very good. I had the Churrasco flatbread chicken – excellent. Husband had the chicken-scampi – good but some notes: husband felt noodles tasted like prepackaged noodles (similar to Knorrs that you can buy in a pack) He also noted- he would’ve preferred it be serve on a plate rather than a bowl.
Service- WONDERFUL and attentive. Multiple servers checking on us. Beer was poured by server each time….Frosted glass presented as well for his beer. Cleared dishes quickly. When extra silverware was brought it was presented wrapped in a cloth napkin…. Excellent service 5⭐️
Bar- delicious drinks. Well made. Try the raspberry martini- recommended by server and it was delicious! Also garnishing in drink was also a nice touch.
Atmosphere- SOOO beautiful! Upscale… and modern!! Loved the music playing too very contemporary feel and just wonderful! Menus are presented in iPad form. Very nice touch!
MUCH NEEDED in Hazleton! Highly recommend you visit and try it for yourself. Best of luck to owners and thanks for bringing something new and upscale to Hazleton area . Tip- make a reservation! We got there at 4:00 and no problem getting a table but as we left(@5:30) – most- if not all tables were taken and a small group was waiting. Parking lot was completely full.

I drove about 45 minutes to try Cilantro, and it was absolutely worth it. I had the salmon and my brother ordered the churrasco—both dishes were excellent, flavorful, and cooked perfectly.
The service was just as good as the food. Big thanks to Alver, Rodimar, and the entire team for making us feel welcomed and taken care of. You can tell they really care about the experience they give their customers.
Great food, great service, and a great atmosphere. We’ll definitely be coming back. Highly recommended!

Both of the owners have been friends of mine for a few years and I’ve seen this place from start to finish! All I can say is wow ! The food was great! I wish them both the absolute best and they already know they have me as a return customer! Everything I have pictured under $80 total! Can’t wait to be out on that deck this summer ! Muchas gracias, mis amigos

Having grown up in the Hazleton area and I’ll be here as a professional one of the enduring facts is that this community is was and will always be a melting pot. This restaurant celebrates that with a unique flair for Mediterranean style Caribbean and upper end American cuisine there is something for everyone we were there on one of their opening weekends. Also on Valentine’s Day. They dealt with the crowd perfectly we felt cared for and taken care of the entire time while we were there the manager that had hostess, and the owner came over to say hello. Introduce themselves and check on our service and food. The waitress was also very attentive and kind. The venues were truly intriguing offering video displays of food and a unique and fun way to explore the different options they had I have never seen a menu that was completely on an iPad. We had the tuna tar tar as an appetizer which is my wife’s favorite and it was flavored just the right amount – the best I’ve ever had. We had lamb chops and pork chops for dinner/ perfectly done just the right amount of food served with mashed potatotoes and broccoli. Desert we had the cookie and cream as well as the cheesecake crème brûlée. The cookies and crème was amazing. My wife had the cilantro martini which she raved about. This is our new favorite restaurant and we really can’t say enough about it!

Overall terrible experience at a new restaurant I had such high hopes for. The space was beautiful and they did an excellent job of turning the space into one that looks and feels sophisticated. However, that was not the case with the service or food.
The hostess was exceptionally rude.
I for one did not enjoy a tablet as the menu. I find pictures of food on a menu to be tacky. Not to mention the food on the pictures did not look like the food that was received. Dare I mention the pictures in the menu looked to be taken for the establishment since the plates at the restaurant logo on it were identical to the plates served. The menu simply made no sense. I was confused as to what type of a restaurant I was in. With a name like cilantro, I was hoping for a high end ethnic restaurant, which was not the case.
Cesar salad to start, which was just okay. Bruschetta appetizer was inedible. Super tiny servings that tasted like nothing. The bruschetta was more like a tomato paste. My entree was the braised beef tacos which I was sadly let down by. Picture on menu was not what I was given. Not even any cilantro on my tacos! For dessert I had ordered off the menu plain cheesecake (which was also pictured in menu) Instead I got a cheesecake with some sort of Carmel sauce on it. It was okay but for dietary or allergy restrictions, they need to have it listed on menu for customers.
The server was pleasant and friendly. However, she was clearly inexperienced and made a few errors, not her fault… managements. I possibly would go back in a few months after they hopefully work out some kicks.

We really needed something like this in Hazleton. The town is growing fast, and having an elegant restaurant like Cilantro finally gives the area the touch it was missing. The atmosphere is beautiful, the service is attentive, and the food feels like a true dining experience not just another place to eat. Definitely a great addition to the community!
