Lovely family-friendly spot! We had a great brunch experience. The service was excellent, and they handled our mix of regular and vegan orders perfectly. Don’t miss the hibiscus mimosas. I’m looking forward to coming back for the daily menu.

Stopped here for lunch and this place truly lived up to its reputation as one of the area’s best Mexican restaurants. We made a reservation but ended up not needing it. Service was friendly and attentive. We really enjoyed our drinks. The smoked salmon ceviche was very good and the homemade tortillas were delicious. I ordered the cochinita. It was presented very well, tender, flavorful and filling! For dessert, the crepas with caramel were perfectly sweetened, for me, and so tender. A great dessert.

I had the most amazing brunch at Cielo Rojo Restaurant! Every bite was delicious, and the flavors truly stood out — you can tell a lot of care goes into the food. The staff was friendly and attentive, making the experience feel warm and welcoming from the moment I walked in.
The ambiance is perfect for a relaxed brunch with friends or a special weekend treat. I especially appreciated how everything felt thoughtfully curated, from the presentation of the dishes to the cozy, vibrant atmosphere.
I can’t wait to come back and try more of the menu — this spot is a must-visit if you’re in the area! Highly recommend.

Such a great find! Stumbled upon this through google while near by. Diner for brunch, but definitely coming back for dinner! The food was fantastic across the board from starters, mains, and dessert. Tamira wasn’t our server, but oh my god I wish she was. She was so friendly and personable. The staff is great.

Absolutely incredible. We got the Herb Guacamole with tostadas, their enchiladas and their churros. Everything was mind-blowingly good.
The cocktails (especially El Jardinero) were crisp, fresh and imaginative. 10/10 cocktails

I loved the vibe here from the moment we walked in. The outside eating area was really nice too. Guacamole was excellent. Plantains were good but a bit stingy. Bread and butter was delicious. Salsas were unique. Don’t expect the usual there. We could have used a few more chips. Our meals were all very good. Service was very slow. Good took a long time. Water needs ice. I would definitely go back but service not very good.

Cielo Rojo has great Mexican food, one of the best Mexican restaurants in the DMV area. We has the Pozole rojo and the Mole enchiladas that come with rice and beans. I really like the food and the experience was fantastic!

This place has it all. Almost feels like you’re in Mexico with the ambiance, flatware and presentation. The prices were reasonable, and I loved the different salsas.
I wish there was a better beer selection, but otherwise I was completely impressed.
The savory waffle was amazing, servers were kind and helpful, and every dish came out looking Instagram worthy. Bathrooms were very clean. They even have ample vegan options if you’re looking that.
Keep it up management and restaurant team. I’ll be back for more!

Visited this establishment 8/28/25 at about 2:45. Not realizing it was close to happy hour. My cousin and I sat at the bar and waited till the bartender finished her convo with another patron. Literally not even looking at us placed the menu on the bar counter. My cousin noticed it would be happy hour shortly so I suggested we wait. That was fine cause the bartender was not to intrigued. Finally I asked her for a HR menu and rudely said well you have 4 more minutes for HR to begin. SMH
We ordered 2 rounds of drinks and finger food. We asked the bartender if we could move to the patio for dinner and she reassured us she would send a waitress to take our order. We literally sat there for 45 minutes. Saw the shift change and the whole show. Our waitress ( I didn’t realize at the time) was watching us from inside.
Not once did she come out ( dyed red headed girl). Finally we asked a very nice over stimulation young man that kept serving us water if we could place our order. His reply I had no idea you guys are waiting to order. That’s when the red headed girl came out. I wish I knew her name, but not once did she introduce herself. So unprofessional and so condescending. The food was not even all that. Same taste as all the other Mexican places. They decorated and give a presentation that you’re having something different. It’s location and the people they cater too is it. The margaritas not great. My 2 stars is only for the customer service. Food is good, but portions are small.
