A friend of our recommended this place to us today. She found it by accident and told us we had to come here. We came for dinner and we were immediately greeted by the owners who were amazing and friendly. It is a family owned and operated restaurant. One of owners, Giussepe, introduced himself to us. He runs the restaurant with his wife and daughters. All of which were super friendly! We ordered Quipe as an appetizer, along with, empanada de Yuca and both were excellent! For dinner we ordered Pollo al limoń, Mofongo with shrimp in a white sauce and grilled chicken. Everything was excellent!! We are definitely coming back and bringingfriends! My wife is from the Dominican Republic and she said it was as authentic as it gets! For me it was freaking delicious!! We enjoyed the whole experience and this place is certainly our new favorite Dominican restaurant! They have only been open for about 4 months and already they were busy! If you haven’t tried this place yet- DO IT! You won’t be disappointed or leave hungry!

We recently visited Cibao, and although it’s a new restaurant, it shows great promise! When we called ahead, we were told they don’t take reservations on weekends, and upon arrival, we were told the wait might be an hour to an hour and a half. That was a bit discouraging but to our surprise, we were seated in only about 20 minutes.
The food was absolutely delicious! Everything tasted fresh and authentic, and we really enjoyed ordering several dishes to share “buffet style.” The flavors were spot-on and definitely stood out as true to Cibao’s roots.
The main area for improvement is service. While we understand it’s a new restaurant, the service was noticeably slow and could benefit from better coordination and training. Waiter efficiency and attentiveness will be key as the restaurant grows. I’d recommend working with a restaurant consultant or training team to help streamline operations and maximize success because the food itself is fantastic and deserves to shine!
We’ll definitely be back and look forward to seeing Cibao thrive.

On first impression the place is cozy and family oriented the menu needs to be a bit less complex and organize. But they just open. The food I order the mofongo with chicken and salsa criolla this was really good in fact I am impress. The Yaroa with beef was fenomenal (I would prefer the fry’s a bit more crispy) but the flavor was right there on point. And the masitas de cerdo with tostones. Also super flavorful they where generous with the portions. The desert where really good the Dominican cake and the tres leche. I feel like I was eating at a friend or family house the home cook meal feeling. Hope they keep it up and flavor full. I am impatient so the food was tasted before the pics sorry about that. I will come back hopefully I get same quality

I would describe Cibao as me being welcomed into someone’s home in the Dominican Republic!! The aroma that hits you as soon as you open the door is enough to make you curious, wanting to know what they’re cooking in the kitchen. I was served with excellent service when I ordered and It’s my first time here so I started with the lunch special Pollo guisado. It reminds me of the days I used to travel to DR and you can taste the love the chef puts into it! Of course the morir soñando is a go-to drink so I was more than satisfied with the experience here.. I will be coming back to try other dishes they offer on the menu and I highly recommend this restaurant!

The Cibao Restaurant is a new gem of Dominican gastronomy in Pembroke Pines, FL. The restaurant is family-owned and managed. The chef Johana is trained in the home country and delivers a powerful mix of flavors, spices, and styles from the half-island’s cuisine. I stated the pernil de cerdo, mofongo, and rice with red beans and goat. All delicious, at a good value. The family provides amazing service, hospitality, and information about the food. I plan to return to bring my family and my staff. Kudos to Giuseppe, Pricilla, and Isa. It

Best Dominican food I had ever had! You don’t want to miss it. This is a family-owned gem. The tostones were spectacular, the rabo encendido was amazing, and the chicken mofongo was delicious.
