After speaking with the owner she let us know how her ingredients are mostly sorced from Italy, and even hired a nutritionist to analyze and compare her homemade stuff against other ice creams – if that doesn’t show dedication I don’t know what does!
The gelato, from pistachio to coffee and more is delicious
You can find dairy-free and low sugar options too.
There’s many spots to try in Venice, but I recommend this one

My server let me try about 5 different flavors before I came to a decision. I sat inside at the window gazing at the passing on-foot and vehicle traffic, while being serenaded by a guitarist and drummer/vocalist pair outside. There was plenty of outdoor seating as well. Inside Elvis was playing on the Christmas tunes track playing. If you prefer gelato this is the stop for you. (There are at least 3 ice cream choices in this area to pick from if you find a long line at your visit, with two others on this block). It is a bit pricey, but my ice cream made for a suitable dinner appetizer, delightfully mitigating my hunger pangs tonight!

Best Gelato in all Sarasota and Venice area. Loved the passion fruit and salty caramel gelato, truly delicious and refreshing. The creamy nature of this gelato is out of this world. I highly recommend Ciao Gelato for its location, prices, quality, customer service, location and much more. I couldn’t eat enough and want to go back every week. Delicious and tasty, not too sweet.

I was very happy to see that there were milk-free options, but was disappointed in the lack of flavor. I had the coconut (and something else) sorbet and it unfortunately didn’t taste of much. It was ok, but not great. Can’t comment on their regular gelato.

The espresso is amazing. We had iced americanos and it was a nice touch to have the frozen coffee ice and not just plain ice cubes that water down your americano.

Delicious Italian Ice Cream Shop with some bakery items and coffee. Parking on street or in public parking lot nearby. Enjoy some refreshing Gelato in downtown Venice on a warm day or after a bicycle ride!

Delicious treats!! Really enjoyed the variety and flavors! I ordered the key lime pie pop covered in chocolate and it was delicious!! Everything is homemade and very authentic tasting!! Will be returning again soon!
