CIA Pasta Bar at 486 Lakeshore Oasis delivered one of those rare meals that stays with you. I ordered the steak and my wife chose the pasta, and both dishes were exceptional in their own way. The steak was cooked perfectly—tender, deeply flavorful, and expertly seasoned—honestly the best steak I’ve ever had, without needing any exaggeration to make the point. My wife’s pasta was equally impressive, rich and balanced, clearly made with care and high-quality ingredients. The whole experience felt refined yet comfortable, the kind of place where the food speaks for itself and makes you want to come back just to be sure it was really that good.

This is an excellent choice for great Italian food. Gnocchi melts in your mouth. The bread before the meal was very crusty and not my preference however the oil and vinegar was good. Order the hazelnut tart at the end even if you take it home. Amazing.

The Ambience really carried the experience, lagging behind was the food. We’ll, the bisque was a smudge too sweet for my taste, but it could just have been the squash that was at fault. My Bolognese was almost spot on, the flavours was a bit too busy. The pasta was very fresh but something separated the sauce a bit, it was hard to tell with the lighting but it tasted a bit oily.
The pear salad was just too sweet and I mistakenly over dressed it. Mea Culpa, so I will not comment except the poached pears was perfect to my taste. The Salmon and Risotto was again very good, but didn’t come perfectly together. My wife thought it was fantastic though so I am sure it’s my aversion to having too much sweetness in dish after dish.
Wine selection is fantastic, one of the best this side of town.
We debated between the tiramisu or chocolate tart. While we picked one the server decided to charge us both and bring only one.
Gotta keep a close eye on that Receipt.

Our waitress was knowledgeable about the menus, our food was homemade and all the vegetables were fresh. The bruschetta was amazing and delicious, and the sorbet was the perfect end to a wonderful meal.

This was a great Italian restaurant to try with great food and great menu choices they also have not one but four different gluten-free options for your noodles and will accommodate two special dietary needs. The restaurant was clean and smelled good everything was well laid out and you can tell that the staff really cared about their jobs and took very good care of their customers. The food itself was pretty good and and the prices were pretty decent as well a little bit more on the expensive side but good.
