Ciao Bella Italian Grill and Bar is an excellent choice for a date night! My wife and I visited for the first time and sat at the bar, where the service and recommendations were outstanding. We even struck up a two-hour conversation with a friendly regular, which made the evening even more enjoyable.
We started with the Toasted Ravioli (so good!) and then had the Boscaiola and the Basil Pesto Tortellini—both were fantastic. The decor has a cozy, romantic vibe, but the restaurant is also large enough for groups. Overall, a perfect mix of great food, atmosphere, and service. Highly recommend and we’ll definitely be back soon!

My wife and I visited for her birthday dinner. The setting was dimly lit and it allowed for conversation and a somewhat intimate setting. The service was very good our waitress was attentive and she checked on us a few times. There was virtually no wait to be seated and the wait for our food wasn’t long either. I had the pizza and it was good wasn’t one of the best pizzas I ever had but I still give it a thumbs up.

Dropped in for lunch with the East Memphis crowd. Was seated fairly quick and the food came in a decent. I was the oddball today and ordered their hamburger, but was well pleased with that choice. Sampled my partners Chicken Alfredo and that was pretty good too. I go back for sure.

We started with complimentary warm bread and olive oil, which hit the spot especially since we were quite hungry. The olive oil was flavorful, and the bread had a satisfying texture—simple but comforting.
To start, we shared the fried calamari, which was excellent—crispy, well-seasoned, and not rubbery at all. The portion was surprisingly generous, and we even had some left to take home. The side salad came with a lemony sauce that paired well with the dish.
Drink-wise, my friend opted for a soft drink, while I tried a non-alcoholic spritz. It was light, lemony, and refreshingly summery—one of my favorite parts of the meal.
For mains, I had the chicken marsala served with spinach and linguine. The chicken was tender and flavorful, and the spinach added a nice comforting touch. The linguine was decent, but nothing remarkable. My friend ordered gnocchi stuffed with Memphis-style barbecued meat—definitely rich, creamy, and quite heavy. She couldn’t quite finish it.
Overall, the food was solid, the service was lovely, and the portions were generous. While it wasn’t the best Italian food I’ve ever had, it was still a satisfying and enjoyable experience. Worth giving it a try!

The food was delicious, the service was outstanding.
They were out of the lamb which my husband was excited to try, however everything we did get was amazing from wine, to dessert.
There was a smidgen of a wait for some things, however we didn’t mind, It gave us more quality time out.
We will definitely be returning!

Ciao Bella has always been one of my favorite restaurants in Memphis. Dinner menu is amazing and everything has been delicious. However I hadn’t tried the new lunch menu until today!
Let’s start with service: David was amazing. Hands down one of the best bartenders I’ve ever encountered. He made my lunch break just….happy. Personable, knowledgeable, great conversations. 1000/10.
Food: That sandwich was enough for 2 people, and a super reasonable price. The flatbread was even better than the dinner pizza. So soft and delicious. 10/10.
I just cannot say enough how wonderful my lunch was today. Will be back soon!!

Everything from the lighting, to the food, to the wine selections…is just beautiful! The hostess, Suzy greeted us upon arrival as if we had been there dozens of times.
We were seated in the bar room area, and the care and concern of the wait staff was top notch, The timing of the arrival of the food was like clockwork, and all of personnel worked together like a well oiled machine!
We had a Caesar salad salad, lobster bisque, and the lasagna and all of them were magnificent, the best lasagna I’ve ever tasted!!
Highly recommend this establishment for a romantic night out or just a great meal with friends!
