Good Italian restaurant. Delicious crispy calamari. You can see that the oil in the fryer is constantly changing. But for some reason they didn’t bring us bread, unlike the neighboring tables.

When I first arrived staff sat in me in front of the restaurant in a table for 2 people, but since there was a bigger party, the staff move to a different table & to make up for it, they got me sparkling wine & sprite, that they didn’t charge me for it.
Staff is very professional & highly recommend.
Food is so delicious, will definitely be coming back.

We have one of the best Italian dishes in a long time. Every dish is fantastic. I am deeply impressed by Linguine Vongole, which has clams with shell and rich pieces clam meat. The delicious food has left a lasting fragrance on our lips and teeth since last month. Friendly staff and a unique place. Will come back!

Me and my sisters dined-in a few minutes before they’re last seating and the very handsome and knowledgeable host was able to get us a table within a few minutes. The bread and butter starter was absolutely delicious as well as the calamari. All for all we ordered a personal pizza, chicken carbonara, Cesar salad and I had the absolute best chicken Parmesan. Large portions, come hungry! All came out to around $150. A price I would pay again for the great quality. Still sad I didn’t ask the host for his number! See you next time Im in town! Ciao!

We had no plans for an Italian lunch. Our mid-morning walk turned into delicious smells coming from Ciao Balboa.
The food was sooooooo good. Right down to the buttery, garlic brine the shrimp were in. Our salads were beautiful. The bread was so good we paid extra to take a bunch home.
The atmosphere was open and airy. Comfortable and cozy.
Our server was super sweet. According at every turn.

Ciao is a fantastic Italian restaurant with a warm, inviting ambiance and attentive staff who make the experience truly enjoyable. The food was delicious overall, though the classic bruschetta didn’t quite meet my expectations. However, the Margherita pizza was absolutely perfect—authentic, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. I would definitely return for another meal. Highly recommended!

Ciao was an incredible surprise. Best Italian dinner I’ve ever had. Ordered the spicy red sauce with chicken over penne-perfection! Atmosphere could not be better- inviting, warm, ocean breeze through the open windows. The owner stopped by to say hello, good man. Worth the drive from wherever you are in LA. Trust me.

The over all experience was great! The servers and the manager are very attentive! Came by multiple times to our table to see if we need anything if the meal was good. The food was delicious definitely made to order! The seafood was fresh and clean! The only thing we didn’t like was the mixed drinks we ordered a Paloma and mojito and you can tell those are pre-made. But everything was delicious!! Would come again for the food!

Beautiful place located in Main Street at the Balboa Island. Serves fresh seafood and great service, and you’ll stumble on this place while walking around town. You will not miss it, and it’s a must try. Then, walk down the beach to enjoy the beautiful scenery it has to offer.
