(Edited to correct the type of pasta I had).

Four of us ate here in November. We had not eaten here before.

I made reservations but when we arrived, it was obvious we didn’t need them. The place was empty except for one couple.

The place is pretty basic, not much atmosphere. I don’t recall any music in the background.

I was craving pasta carbonara and read on facebook that this place makes an authentic dish. It was good but what I’ve eaten in Rome Italy is so much better. My Caesar salad was a nice portion with a thick and creamy dressing.

My husband had the meatball sub. He really liked it. And it was a big portion. The garlic knots were delicious.

I’m glad we finally got to try this place but it’s not on the top of our best Italian restaurants in the area.

Fantastic Gnocchi, Excellent Service, & A Darling Hostess – Look, when I walk into a restaurant and am greeted by somebody’s grandma pulling hostess duty at the front, I know I’m in for a good meal. The atmosphere was unpretentious; the server was friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive without hovering; and the food was delicious. This being our first experience with the establishment, I asked if a gnocchi or two might find their way onto my plate of cheese ravioli a la vodka so I could see if I liked their recipe. Not only did the chef accommodate me kindly, but there were plenty of gnocchi to discover that I absolutely loved their recipe. The gnocchi was pillowy and flavorful without being chewy. The sauce was well balanced and tasty. My husband had the chicken parmesan with angel hair pasta and loved it. The chicken was properly pounded out and cooked with a crispy crust and tender meat. The portion was enough to feed 2, easily. We noted that every customer that came in during our meal seemed to be a regular, which made a lot of sense given our experience. We were in the mood for an impromptu classic Italian meal without the self importance that’s become commonplace in town. This place fit the bill perfectly! We will definitely be back.

A cozy and authentic Italian restaurant with a warm, family-owned atmosphere. I had the fettuccine with shrimp — absolutely delicious and perfectly cooked. We also enjoyed a glass of wine and tried several desserts — everything was fresh and flavorful.

My boyfriend had spaghetti (I don’t remember exactly what kind), and he really liked his dish too.

The service was outstanding — super friendly, polite, and attentive. You can feel the love and care in this family-run place.

The ambiance was calm, relaxing, and perfect for a date night. The bill came to around $100 for two people, and it was absolutely worth it.

Can’t wait to come back! Highly recommended for anyone who appreciates real Italian food and great vibes.

In town for work & enjoy trying local places, not chains. Atmosphere was nice & soft. Food was amazing. Sweet potato bisque was creamy and you could taste so many different layers of flavor. Steak marsala with penne was so savory & flavorful. Steak was cooked perfect.

This place had a very relaxing atmosphere and a welcoming vibe. The food was tasty, with generous portions, and the kids’ menu offered a great variety. Overall, it was an enjoyable dining experience for both adults and children

A new restaurant to us, it was a perfect night for a warm dish of pasta. This is a wonderful family run restaurant with their Nana greeting us at the door.
We started with glasses of red wine and a special appetizer of fried mushrooms. They were crispy, juicy, and very hot.
We shared a large classic salad that was one of the best I’ve had. It was loaded with spring mix, cucumbers, tomatoes, banana peppers, olives, and roasted red peppers. The lemon vinaigrette was absolutely delicious with a little sweetness and tang. I would love a bottle of it.
The special of penne with shrimp, Italian sausage, sundried tomatoes, and a touch of pesto had slightly sweet but lovely tang from the tomatoes.
The stuffed eggplant was full of Italian sausage, onions, spinach, and cheese. The cheese was so gooey and the sauce was absolutely delicious like it was cooked with love. The eggplant was cooked crispy and filled with all the goodness it could fit.
Service was attentive and the owners always checking on people. I highly recommend this restaurant for authentic Italian cooking.

Stopped in for dinner. First was given some fresh bread as an appetizer; very delicious. Got the soup of the day; also delicious. Ordered bolognese with fettuccine and meatballs. The meatballs were disappointing; no taste to them, very bland. Shrimp scampi was okay. Dessert of the pistachio crème cake finished out the dinner.

The food and service were both amazing. One of the most delicious and refreshing ceasar salads we’ve all had recently (homemade the traditional way at the restaurant), and delicious chicken milanese, chicken d’angelo, and gnocchi. The calamari and drinks were also amazing. Furthermore, the owners have a really inspiring and genuine story and we wish them all the best!

Came on mothers day and the food was fantastic to me. My mom got the lobster mac and cheese but the lobster was chewy. We had a reservation but waited 30 minutes to be seated. The restaurant was super busy of course due to mothers day but I felt like it was a mad house like a place shouldn’t take reservations if it can’t be handled. Everyone was super nice but I feel that the wait staff was overworked to where it was affecting the quality of service. I personally will be back. I thought the food was great besides my mom’s mac n cheese. It was also really hot and muggy so we were all kind of uncomfortable.

so full disclaimer, that we tried this place because it was close to where I was getting my car serviced. I just wanted to kill an hour with a nice meal with my grandmother and kiddo. It’s kind of tucked away in that little strip mall on the other side of new center near target. I didn’t even know it existed until looking up restaurants near the area. That being said, DO NOT SLEEP ON DINING AT CIANA! We went for an early Thursday dinner around 4:30pm and the place was empty (after the meal this blew my mind because it was all incredible). The man who sat us was very friendly. Our server Ashley was attentive and made great recommendations. For starters we had the fried mozzarella. For mains we ordered scallops a la vodka with angel hair, the stuffed eggplant and my kiddo got the free kids pasta and marinara. Both the adult entrees came with a a choice of soup/salad. We had the fagioli which was their soup of the day- it was an excellent choice.
My grandmother and I also decided to order two dishes to go for our men folk. To go we got the lasagna (huge portion & came with soup) and my grandmother got the chicken parm (even bigger portion and got the Side Caesar). Our husbands were ecstatic!
Extra bonus- Our server had it timed it so well that our to go order came out the exact same time that we were ready to request boxes & the check. I could not have asked for a better place to have a meal with my family.
*** I did not take pictures of the take out plates. They were packed away, so perfectly I didn’t want to ruin the “fresh from the oven” ambience for the fellas, lol. But I did take pictures of our main dishes this evening.
**saw on Facebook that tonight’s Thursday special was BOGO 50% off of dine in entrées but we were not informed of this while we dined in this evening. It was not applied to our bill either. However, even though that’s a bummer it doesn’t ruin a great meal.
