Ci Siamo translates to here we are or we’ve finally arrived. It’s the clinking of glasses after a long week, the rush of arriving at a new destination, the relief of a familiar smile — it’s an exhalation. Celebrating the beauty of simplicity, Chef Hillary Sterling centers her Italian-inflected menu around live-fire cooking and seasonal ingredients, bridging the traditional with the contemporary in a transportive yet familiar space. Ci Siamo is located in The Manhattan West Plaza which is between 9th and 10th Avenue and 31st and 33rd Street.

Stylish restaurant offering high-end Mediterranean standards, plus wine and cocktails.

Came here for Valentine’s lunch and enjoyed our meal very much. Service was friendly and efficient and food was absolutely marvelous. My wife did a lot of research before choosing Ci Siamo as part of our New York trip itinerary and frankly she nailed it. Ambiance is upscale and bustling but not too loud that you can’t have a great time with your wife or partner.

5 stars and two thumbs up!

Instantly became one of my favorite restaurants in NYC. Everything is delicious. The Gnocco Fritto is a standout, alongside the rib eye. The focaccia bread is so fresh, no notes. It’s on the pricey side but totally worth it. I made a reservation for the wrong date and they kindly sat us at the bar, best decision, the service was impeccable. I highly recommend Ci Siamo.

Ci Siamo is one of those places where you can’t really go wrong no matter what you order!

For apps, we started off with the insalata verde with toasted garlic. I actually loved this salad because it didn’t have too much going on. No major callout here but if you need a tasty green just to say you had one, I’d recommend. Next, and know I’m not usually a fan of goat cheese, I loved the thin layer they added to the bottom of the light yet crispy gnocco frito made for the perfect pairing. Definitely a must order in my opinion. The last starter was the scallop tartare and unfortunately, this was the most disappointing part of the meal. I just felt like it was too fishy, but the texture and citrus within the dish was well balanced.

For our mains, we shared the pappardelle with beef and the cavatelli with spicy crab. Both were a 10/10 so I highly recommend, but if I have to pick between the two I’m leaning more towards the pappardelle… just because the spicy crab had a couple of shells in it.

For dessert, they gave us a complementary glass of white wine as a pallet cleanser to go with our lemon sorbet. Call me crazy but even though the sorbet was refreshing, it was too lemony/sour-y for me (geez I’m making up words).

I had such a great experience at Ci Siamo. I was in the city for work, and my aunt from Long Island met me for dinner before I headed back to Boston. My husband had eaten here before while he was in NYC for work and told me I had to try the onion torta—he was absolutely right.

Our server, Jonathan, was truly wonderful. He was so inviting and kind without being overbearing. He helped me choose dishes that worked with my dietary restrictions, and my water glass was never even close to empty before he refilled it. His overall presence was just so pleasant, and he really made us feel taken care of.

The food was amazing—big compliments to Chef Hillary—and honestly the whole staff made the entire experience feel special. I’ll definitely be coming back, and I’m happy to recommend Ci Siamo to anyone looking for a great dinner in NYC.

My husband and I have dined here for lunch a few times now — it’s hands down our favorite restaurant in the city. The service is always impeccable, the food is outstanding, and the space is beautiful yet comfortable. We went for restaurant week lunch today and thought the pasta stuffed with squash and goat cheese was the star (though everything was awesome). In addition to the restaurant week menu, we ordered the pizza bianca, as we always do. The salsa verde / anchovy combo is so deliciously savory. The tricolor cookies were such a lovely surprise and sweet way to end the meal. Can’t wait to come back again soon!

Ci Siamo truly raises the bar. From start to finish, the hospitality was world-class. My server, Edda (apologies if I’ve misspelled it!), was superb—knowledgeable, efficient, and a true professional.

The food was nothing short of astounding. The rabbit pasta is extraordinary; I’m already craving it again. Don’t skip the cast iron focaccia, which is phenomenal, and if you’re a fan of mortadella, the quality here is top-tier—pairing it with the Gnocco is a must. Even the green salad was a standout. They feature and Italian NA beer that is extraordinary. A lovely touch was the complimentary glass of red wine offered during the elevator ride up. Bravo to the team; I can’t wait for my next visit.

Came in with high expectations, but it didn’t quite live up to the hype.

Food:
• Cast iron focaccia – outstanding, fluffy with a crisp edge, absolutely worth ordering.
• Braised beans – surprisingly delicious; cozy, savory, and more brothy than expected. Great for a cold day.
• Rigatoni alla Gricia – very rich and pungent; not at all like cacio e pepe. Overwhelming and a miss for me.
• Braised lamb – beautifully plated with solid, well-developed flavor.

Overall: a few strong dishes, but not a must-return spot.

We tried to get a reservation but couldn’t. So the five of us did a walk-in and they let us ate at the bar lounge chairs. Really can’t complain about the space and they did add a small table to make space for plates. The food was quite good. Special shout out to the Ribeye. The crust was fantastic. Meat was tasty and great value. Will try to come back and get a regular table for a meal.

My visit to Ci Siamo certainly lived up to its reputation here in NYC – attentive service despite the busy Saturday evening, and delicious Italian fare that balances richness with freshness. As others have mentioned, the onion torta is a must-get if you love savory, cheesy bites, and the crab cavatelli was perfectly cooked (although you don’t really get huge chunks of crab). The whole trout surprised me – the meat was tender and paired well with the mustardy greens sandwiched between. Overall, Ci Siamo is perfect for people who prefer a more balanced, innovative Italian meal.

The ambiance at this place is perfect for a fun date night or elevated group dinner, but do note that noise levels on are on the louder side.

It was a perfect experience! Welcoming atmosphere from the host stand to our server. The sommelier helped to find the best pairings from their big wine list according to our request.
Our server, Fiona M., made this evening exceptionally, how attentive and charming she is! Will definitely come back again to try the rest of the menu.
