It could have been a good experience-if only our server had ordered my meal! Then, had she apologized, this review would be very different as I seldom write a negative review.

We found the atmosphere lovely-especially the uplifting messages in the bathroom. However, that isn’t sufficient to provide a positive experience.

We waited more than an hour for our order, even though it was not busy. The food we received was ok but overpriced.

The shrimp in my friend’s Seafood Alfredo had to be de-tailed which is an annoying process with a pasta dish. The blackened salmon was decent but overcooked. The appetizer we ordered was brought again as my meal and what I’d ordered was no longer available. I was told the veggies I’d asked for would be coming out soon but never did.
I suppose the thing that really bothers me most is our servers’s attitude. I worked in the restaurant industry for years. When you make a mistake, you apologize – in fact – you over apologize and try and come up with ways to compensate for your error. Our server would barely look at us and never “owned” her mistake. All would have been fine had that happened.

Based on my experience, I don’t recommend your time at this overpriced restaurant.

Have lived on island for four years and finally made it to Cibone. The food was SO delicious and it was such a cute atmosphere. It’s locally, family owned. Food came out in a timely fashion and the whole family left full saying it was the best meal they had on island. Special thanks to John and Tyrese for the wonderful service!

Wonderful meal! My wife and I live on island and my parents were visiting, they said it was their favorite meal on island. Locally sourced food was delicious. We will definitely be back again. Shoutout Tyrese and John who provided great service.

So incredibly slow. We should have trusted the other reviews, but thought we would try it on a quiet Tuesday night. They didn’t actually open and seat people until 30 minutes after opening time, didn’t get drinks for another 30 minutes, and it took 1 hr 45 minutes after seating until the entrees came out. Seems like a nice place but this goes even well beyond “island time”. Can not recommend.

Today, sixty-five hours on St Croix, I fell in love ❤️with Cibone Restaurant & team!
Alira make the very best Mojita, Kiarra & Nena star of the day waitress, Mado Chef de Cuisine and of course, the grand dame owner/operator Almitra:)
Congrats team bean, well done! What a wonderful evening & experience
See ya soon

It had been about a decade since we dined at CiBoNe because 2 previous experiences weren’t the best. But friends wanted to go, so we did. They seemed under staffed. We were there at our reserved time and waited about 20 minutes before someone took our drink order. Overall, the food was excellent (mussells, bruschetta, wahoo daily special, and seafood alfredo), but took forever to reach the table. AND my husband’s lamb chops were over done although he ordered them medium rare. The chairs NEED SEAT CUSHIONS unless you have a naturally well padded behind. If your seat faces the sideyard it is a pleasant atmosphere, otherwise you’re looking at the convenience store across the street. We won’t return soon.

We were told about CiBoNe by our resort hostess and boy were we surprised. Laid back, fresh snapper and excellent customer service. If you are in St. Croix you have to stop by. Only open in the evening but what an experience. Thank you so much. Love from Texas.

The food was really good but I would recommend asking for the price beforehand since we were taken aback when we received the check. Also, be prepared to wait because this is a smaller restaurant but I promise it is worth the wait. I ordered the grilled steak and it did not disappoint. The steak was so juicy and tender, I didn’t even need to use my knife to cut the steak and as I ate it the juices absorbed into the other components of the dishes elevating the whole thing. I also got the garlic mash and vegetables as my sides and I would recommend because they complimented the steak very well.

This was our splurge dinner while in St Croix, but not as expensive as some of the other fine dining on the island. The food and service were outstanding. Staff were friendly and offered up recommendations, including a delicious cocktail that the owner’s husband made for us. The menu changes frequently (daily?). We enjoyed blackened chicken with mashed potatoes, a sweet and spicy red snapper with seasoned rice and a glazed salmon. All came with fresh, perfectly cooked veggies. We also enjoyed a refreshing ginger drink. A bonus was a magician who performed at individual tables (when guests were not eating). There was also nice jazz drifting out to the patio where we dined. Worth a visit.

Best and only good part was the semi outdoor seating, good fresh air and a decent breeze… However, 1 hour and 45 minutes for an overcooked steak and super salty chicken, even the Bruschetta was room temp and soggy bread, the crab cakes were small and unimpressive. With 3 cooks in the kitchen and less than 20 patrons seated it really should not take that long.
The drinks also took about 25 minutes and the excuse was “we only have one bartender”.. who apparently started today with zero experience.
.5 out of 10, would not recommend, go anywhere else.
