This was our second visit to this restaurant. The food was okay. Nothing to rant or rave about. The sausage had a horrible flavor and honestly tasted like it had passed its expiration date. The pancakes looked phenomenal, but that’s about it. They looked phenomenal, but they did not taste phenomenal.
The omelet was decent but lacked flavor. On the positive side, the homemade tortillas were delicious, and the waitstaff was both pleasant and attentive.
One of my major concerns was the café de olla, which had added sugar. This is not a good idea for anyone diabetic.
Overall, a very average experience.

First time there and I will say superior experience. Food was great, servers and staff were amazing. I have found my new favorite spot. I’m used to Karanchos in Channelview but since I’ve moved to Spring, I wanted to find something closer. So happy I found this place.

Went for lunch on a Wednesday. Three sauces served with chips and a little cup of fideo noodle soup. All good but the green sauce and soup were especially so.
Had the lengua lunch plate (with rice and beans). I don’t think I’ve ever ate such tender and tasty tongue. (To the uninitiated, lengua is slow-cooked beef tongue that when done right, tastes like some of the best stewed beef you’ve ever had!)
I liked the green sauce so much I bought a small container to go ($4). It’s a little spicy but soooo creamy. (Try some on eggs or tacos…even leftover meatloaf!)
Had some drinks, too: draft beer and a tequila shot. The Don Julio is priced accordingly.
Great service, with a smile.
I wish it were closer. I would like to try their menudo.

The food is always decent (average) and good quality definitely. Some of the dishes are better than others though. Corn tortillas are excellent enchiladas and quesabirria are good. Drinks are good. Atmosphere is good and good music. It’s local and fairly priced and the service is always good so we eat here a lot even though it’s not the best IMO

Came here because it was the only place open past 10pm. I found 3 pieces of long hair in my food. At first I thought it was my own, so I removed it. By the 3rd piece I looked closer and it definitely was not mine. My waiter called the manager over who offered a half apology asking were the hair is and no solutions. I paid and left. The food was very salty too. I won’t be back.

The food was very delicious! I had breakfast before our day of prospecting and there was no wait, servers were very polite and food came out fast and hot! Chips and 3 different salsas for everyone’s taste buds. You must give it a taste. They even have a Valentines Day menu for tomorrow!

Walking in, atmosphere was ok we didn’t love that the music was so loud we could barely hear ourselves talking but it was a Sunday so not sure if this is something they do weekends or all around but that’s based on preference. Service was not great, I was looking to ask for a few things like an extra plate and like once the food got there but my waitress never made it to me. We were finally ready to close out and it took her 10 minutes to bring us a to go box and another 10 minutes to bring us our receipt (which she could’ve done when bringing our box). I know it was a Sunday but it was pretty empty in there, she was off talking the whole time. Now food, we ordered the mixed fajitas and they were tasty, they came with a lot of sausage, the beef fajita amount was less than I expected and the chicken was not fajita as most parriladas come. It was a thigh with bone in. The flavor of the food was great, it came with rice and beans. We both had mangonadaritas which were ok, they did not mix the syrup in the drinks so we were taking sips of syrup initially. Overall not great but I would most likely order take out instead.

I am writing to share some feedback regarding my recent experience at your buffet.
I found the price of the buffet to be too expensive given the selection provided. Unfortunately, I was not impressed with the quality of the food during my visit.
I wanted to bring this to your attention as I hope this feedback is helpful for your future service.

I was just traveling through and wanted good REAL MEXICAN FOOD! I looked up every one around me and chose this hidden gem. First of all, you are treated like family the moment you walk in. I’m a picky about salsa and chips. On point!! The verde and roja were a little too spicy for this white girl. They give you small cup of the best Fideo I’ve ever had with your chips and salsa. I had the cheese enchiladas and modified them off course, I’m weird like that. And they were so accommodating! I met one of the owners, she is beautiful inside and out. You can feel the love in this restaurant and the food. Thank you again Chycho’s!
