I was excited to try since it was so close. I was hoping it was some secret hole in the wall place that could become a new staple. It was absolutely not.
The atmosphere wasn’t bad. It was about what you’d expect.
My service wasn’t that bad either. Not super “friendly” but was helpful.
The food was awful. It has to be the worst Mexican food that I’ve ever had. The chips have to be off-brand cheap tortilla chips (I at least I hope that was the case). The salsa comes in a little glass pitcher and mine was shattered on a portion of it.
I ordered the beef fajitas for a lunch special. How do you mess up fajitas? The beef tasted awful. The veggies were bad. The tortillas are hockey pucks. Even the beans weren’t good.
I try not to judge places before I visit them, and seeing a decent number of positive reviews had me hopeful, but I will not be returning.

I had been wanting to try Chuys for a while and I’m mad that I hadn’t come sooner. AMAZING EXPERIENCE! Great service from Chuy. Food came out hot and quick. Everything was delicious. I will absolutely be back and highly recommend. Great job!

Around 3:00 p.m. on a Monday the place was fairly quiet with just a few people, so we had great service from our waiter. Might be different if it’s busy on the weekend in the evening? The food was very good, had the daily special for $10 plus drinks Plus cheese dip, and the hot sauce was mild enough for me to enjoy and reminded me of the Mexican inn. Look at the pictures and you can see the atmosphere and just had a good visit and will go back when I can have the time to sit down and enjoy a meal. I recommend anybody in the Eagle Mountain Lake area or if you’re in the area of Saginaw, Newark, Aurora, Azle, ect….to visit this location it is worth the trip because the food was good. Had a good overall experience and will go back

I love to come here. I ordered carne guisada and my husband shrimp and chicken fajitas. Delicious . The meat was very tender and the sauce on the guisada was good spicy flavor. The shrimps and chicken cooked with a delicious seasoning. Rice an bean and tortillas. And the house margaritas on point. Highly recommended

The staff is great but the food has Mexican origin but it’s not Mexican food. For the price to bring a family this food really only target folks that don’t know what Mexican food actually is. The fake cheese, the carne asada plates were really just bits of fatty that are left over.

I walk in. It’s just after 11am. No one there. They ask me how many I say 1 and she tells me to sit anywhere I’d like.
I sit at a table with 6 chairs.
The waiver comes over and says.
Sir if you don’t mind can you move to a smaller table and this is a table for 6 and you can sit at this table for two.
Sure….I guess you’re expecting a big rush?
No one else ever came in the building. Not one person.
Now…I know in the big scheme of things this was not an issue.
Still….I wanted to say something smart ass as I left….but I didn’t.

I live around the corner from Chuys and today was the first time I went in for lunch, the food was great as I am very picky when it comes to salsa and theirs is how I like it. The Carne Quisada was delicious and hit the spot. I have nothing negative to say about my experience and will definitely be back.

Food was decent, and came out very fast, but they need to figure out what they are doing here. Furniture is trashed, it was like being seated in a homeless person’s dining area. All the seats were cut open and the inside cushions were all you set on, it was dirty as hell. Maybe the health inspectors need to show up, or the owners need to hire new management. I would not recommend.

Great food and service, such a joy to dine here with dear friends. Our go-to fajitas were delicious as always, and we indulged in sopapillas for dessert, although we completely forgot to snap a picture of them.

First time trying Chuys, which came highly recommended. The restaurant is very adorable with great music, staff was polite and very friendly. The food for me is not authentic Mexican but more tex-mex vibe. I am not a fan of the crunchy tacos and substitute for flour tortilla which were delicious, some of the rice was not fresh. I gave it a five due to the great staff and all other foods definitely try dessert it was gone so fast I was unable to take a picture.
