EDIT: Chuy’s guest relations has reached out to me and made things right. The food was never the issue as I am a loyal local and have never had any bad experiences in regard to the quality of the food. I love Chuy’s and will continue to support this business.

The issue was plain and simple. We ordered to-go and specified double rice on one of our entrees. Instead I got rice and beans. We live 25 minutes from this location so it’s not worth it to drive back to get the order corrected. This isn’t the first time this has happened but this is the first time I am posting a review. Not sure how hard it is to verify that the order matches the ticket before handing the order to the customer. I contacted Chuy’s corporate about this repeat issue and they said the manager would reach out to me shortly. It’s been 8 days and I have not received any contact from the manager. Do yourself a favor and if you order take out from this location, do the work of the Chuy’s employees and verify your order is correct before driving off. Maybe ask for a discount since you’re partially doing their job.

The food itself was good though (minus the beans).

Picked up a to go order and usually love Chuys but they didn’t give us our guac or any of the extra toppings for the Pancho’s. To top it off the food was cold and I had to assemble my tacos. Not doing that again. Check your food before you leave.

I visited Chuy’s and was disappointed with the experience. The food was too greasy, and the meat was not well cooked. The waitress didn’t seem very attentive — it looked like she was working alone and had too many tables to handle. I waited a long time for a refill on my drink, and when I was ready to leave, there was no one around to ask for the check.

We came to this location to celebrate a birthday, but instead, we got a masterclass in how not to run a restaurant. We waited 30 minutes in the lobby for a table that had been empty for about 20 of those minutes—apparently, the table needed a spa day before it was ready for us. Eventually, it got cleaned at a glacial pace, and we were seated.

About seven minutes later, our server appeared to take drink orders. My friend asked for a margarita on the rocks. Simple, right? Apparently not. The server brought our sodas, then asked again if the margarita should be blended or on the rocks. My friend, now Margarita Mozart, said on the rocks again. So what arrives? A blended margarita. Sigh. He kindly asked for it to be remade, and from there, our server seemed to go into stealth mode—slow service, long delays, and nearly no follow-up. I get it, it was Mother’s Day, but we didn’t ask for a magic trick. We just wanted tacos and a timely check-in.

Speaking of food… meh. The rice was bland, like it had trust issues with seasoning. The beans were just there, vibing. The meat was decent, but not enough to save the meal. It’s Tex-Mex, so I wasn’t expecting culinary fireworks, but this was more like a soggy sparkler.

The location is great, but between the sluggish service and forgettable food, I’ll be celebrating my next birthday literally anywhere else. Even a gas station taco stand might have more flavor and probably faster service.

Our waiter was the best. Love love love the complimentary dips. The Location off I10 was clean and nice and cold on the inside which is needed in Houston.

Average Tex-Mex. Love their jalapeño ranch. Drinks are decent, fajitas are pretty good and everything always comes out quickly even when they’re busy.

We were really disappointed during our most recent visit. After being seated, we waited almost 20 minutes and no one came to greet us or take our order. During that time, a couple who was seated after us was served promptly and even received their food within about 10 minutes.

This experience was especially frustrating because we’ve always enjoyed coming to this location and have never had an issue before. Unfortunately, after waiting so long without acknowledgment, we decided to leave and eat elsewhere.

Hoping this was just an off day, but it definitely wasn’t the experience we’ve come to expect.

Check this out .. it’s the end of 2025… And luxury service IS STILL ALIVE due to one person .. that person’s name is Mr. David with his brand new Snoopy watch!
He has rekindle 5 star services that the rest of the Chuy’s around Texas can’t provide. Mr. David (I.T. profession side hustle) is an excellent example of what it is to provide top quality service! I truly hope Mr. David gets the opportunity to run and open his very own Chuy’s restaurant to represent & provide what high caliber SERVICE is made of. Halleluyah Mr. David.. Best of the BEST! He also introduced me the BEST TX MARTINI cazadores EVVVVVER!!
