Food good and hot when arrived, service was great , not too little and not too much. Chips were thin, hot and addicting. Server got me a sample to try their green chili rice so I could see if it was not too spicy. But for me it was too spicy so I went with the Spanish rice.Chicken and cheese flautas, beans and rice.couldn’t finishes the rice but it was all tasty. We would come again. Madeline was friendly, helpful and happy to help us.
We were visiting from California and our town knows Mexican food but I think this best that.

But we gave a 3 for atmosphere because we prefer a more quieter eating experience. But it appeared to be a popular place.

there was a line when we arrived but we didn’t wait the 20 minutes they said it would take.

Below including tip.

The server pushed hard though the kitchen killed his effort.

Food was cold, the steak of the tacos very rare and the flavor was acceptable, the new margarita martini, was a NO 100%, as a former bartender this drink shouldn’t be on the menu horrible.

The chicken oven quesadillas were good only the chicken; the beans, rice and beans, oh no thanks next time.

It won’t be good to make big parties you had to wait quite a lot and when is a Tex mex restaurant I’m expecting quality food.

Dress code could be beneficial.

I frequent Chuys often and understand the employees don’t make the prices, the cheese in the pictures cost over 15 dollars with taxes which was more than my meal. I politely asked for a manager and refund. Jan came from the back and issued refund no hello, have a nice day or anything not a problem though, I won’t return .

Everyone knows that Chuy’s has the best Mexican food and is such a unique and fun place! We had my brother Mitch go there to get there are famous chicken Chuychanga in a pink tutu as part of a lost bet.

The manager and staff made sure the entire restaurant knew the bearded ballerina was there and took pictures while joining in on the fun.

The food was amazing!! Thank you for helping.

They told Mitch that we’re going to post pics on their social media and asked if he would come back again. Let us know if you really want him to prance back into the restaurant.

Thanks again!!

Fair notice upfront. I grew up in Austin and have been going to Chuys for probably about 40 years now. We love Chuys for the atmosphere as well as the food. And it’s very consistent across their multiple locations. We don’t even need menus anymore when we go in. Our favorite chips and margarita live here. This location specifically: in general the management has been great, runs a smooth shift and handles any issues that arise professionally, courteously and promptly. Aside from the awesome atmosphere it’s always clean, including the bathrooms. The food quality has somehow remained rather consistent over the years. The only complaint I have about this location is that they are in too small of a space. Both waiting and seating. But that’s just because they’re so popular. Can’t wait for the Mansfield location to open.
As a side note, it consistently amazes us that we can come here and have a sit down dinner with a family of 5 for about the same price as hitting a drive through.

Visited here yesterday, Saturday February 28, 2026.

Most impressed with our waiter, by the name of Dee. This young man was exceptional and his customer service was top tier!
He was very attentive and brought things to our table, without us even having to ask him to do so. Professional, fast and efficient.
Oh the food and drinks were good as well

Went in for a quick lunch the tortilla soup was pretty rough . The chicken was like chewing leather. Very bland. Chips and dip were great . The server I had was just fantastic. Quick friendly and on top of it . The total bill was about $25. Thank you Miriam for a pleasant experience.

We started with chips, salsa, queso, and guacamole. The queso was thick, cheesy, and delicious. The guacamole needed more lime and salt, while the salsa was watery and too chunky for my taste.

For entrées, we ordered the Chimichanga and the Elvis Presley Memorial. The chimichanga was massive, stuffed with juicy chicken, and covered in sour cream sauce. The side of beans were creamy and tasty, though adding cotija cheese on top would have taken them up a notch. The rice, unfortunately, was dry, lacked flavor, and had a bit of a hard texture.

Service started off a little unfriendly, but our server eventually warmed up to us and did a good job keeping our chips and drinks refilled.

The atmosphere was definitely unique. The giant metal palm trees in the middle of the tables gave the place a quirky vibe, though it did make the seating feel a bit awkward to maneuver around.
