Chain serving “big as yo’ face” burritos & other Tex-Mex dishes in kitschy, eclectic settings.

I love the flavors of this food. So many Mexican restaurants lack flavor but this one delivers. Tex-mex yes, but most ‘Mexican’ restaurants are too. Lots of green chili options that taste great.

I recently dined at Chuy’s Mexican and had a fantastic experience! I ordered the combo fajitas and nachos, and both dishes were incredible. The fajitas were sizzling hot and bursting with flavor. The portion was generous, and I loved the fresh vegetables that accompanied the perfectly cooked meat. The highlight was definitely the homemade tortillas—warm, soft, and utterly delicious! The nachos were equally impressive! They were loaded with toppings—melted cheese, jalapeños, and fresh guacamole that added the perfect creamy touch. The atmosphere at Chuy’s was vibrant and lively, adding to the overall dining experience. The staff was attentive and friendly, making sure we had everything we needed throughout our meal.
Overall, I highly recommend Chuy’s Mexican for anyone looking for tasty, authentic Mexican food in a fun environment.

Tried this place for the first time.
I didn’t know whether or not it was a local joint or a chain. I don’t leave reviews for chains often, but I felt like the place was worthed. The atmosphere and decor were pretty cool. It was pretty quiet for a Saturday afternoon on the busier side of Lafayette, but there are so many places to choose from on this side of town. The chips with the salsa and creamy jalapeño sauces were really good. That creamy jalapeño was devine!!
For my entrée, I got the Elvis Green Chile Fried Chicken. It’s a chicken breast breaded with Lays potato chips & fried to golden brown, served over Green Chile Sauce & topped with cheese. It also came with beans and rice. The whole meal was unique and very good. I might have to try breading my chicken with Lays chips one day! Our server was really sweet as well.

We always try to find Tex-Mex food while we were out traveling. Chuy’s is uniform across the country, so you know what to expect. We live in our motorhome and travel and go to lots of places. It’s hard to find good text message outside of texas.

My family and I went to the Ambassador Caffery location at lunch on Saturday, Nov. 15th and we were seated immediately. The food was fresh and great, as always! The chips are so super crispy and salted to perfection and marries perfectly with the delicious jalapeño ranch. Our waiter, Vic, was excellent and very attentive. Definitely will be back!

Good Tex Mex food for a very good price. Big portions and it tasted good! The salsa is spicy and fresh, they also serve a jalapeño dipping sauce that is really delicious! I got the “panchos” which are basically nachos but they use their in house tortillas and each chip has loads of toppings and cheese, two ppl could definitely share this, it’s large!
The restaurant gives a diner style vibe with a very strong Elvis Presley theme going on. Lots of staff present (Saturday at lunch time) service was good, although I did have to source my own napkins. Overall an excellent lunch !

The food was average. No complaints. I’ve had better rice at all the other Mexican restaurants in Lafayette, but the tortillas are handmade, and you can watch them being made at the main area in the middle. It’s a very cute place, lots of things to draw ur eyes in. Like I said, the food is average, which is not a compliment. You know what you’re getting. There is a kid menu like always with burgers and strips, for the picky eating children. There ome for the adults. So if you’re one of those people who will go but get something, not Mexican, your choice is the kids’ menu if they let, I know someplaces dont. Also worth noting the staff was very friendly we went on a Friday at 6:30 and they were pretty busy but no wait for 2, if went with a group it would have probably been a wait. I wouldn’t be to bad of one though because there is a lot of seating.
