In total we spent $120 & we had an appetizer, two entrees, & a salad. The service was slow considering there wasn’t a ton of people in there BUT I believe this establishment loves to pay attention to detail & get things right the first time so they take their time. The hostess & servers were so welcoming & attentive.
For faster service I would look at the menu beforehand to already have an idea of what you want. They also do a brunch buffet on Sunday. The prices vary for different ages but it’s $40 per adult. This place is designed so beautifully on the inside as well. We truly can’t wait to go back! We parked in the parking lot that was located a little ways down the street for $5.00. Parking space is limited in front of the restaurant.
Strolling through the literally winding mirrored entrance hallway to the downward flight of stairs where the riverbank level dining floor resides feels like a cool Caribbean sojourn into a riverside club catering to the successful jewelry merchant to the colonies or retired general of a small nearby country whose GDP is primarily coffee grown on hillsides.
With the aid of a small high-interest payday loan, you too can enjoy the…
Elegance, matched by the staff’s royal treatment of their patrons. A serene peaceful dining room filled with wonderful lighting and exotic furniture and booths. The entire riverbank wall is floor to ceiling glass for a great view of the water walkway.
The South American fare is equally spectacular. I ordered the Chilean Sea Bass, achiote grilled shrimp, guajillo sauce, arroz con rajas, and citrus salad. (Which was really not so much a salad, but a ring of marinated mandarin orange slices: great accent, I’m just saying salad is a generous term)
Fish was cooked perfectly, well developed flavor in the sauce. The pickled red onions and cilantro… perfectly peppy.
My wife got the 6oz. Churrasco butterflied center cut filet, grilled vegetables and roast potatoes. My daughter was the winner of the feast…Parrallida Mixta (for one) chimichurri marinated grilled petit filet, chicken breast, grilled shrimp and Italian sausage, some other goodies on the side, like breaded fried cheese, yucca fries.
We ended up sharing half of her plate, the sausage was half herb and seasoning, super decadent. Yucca fries, sooo crispy outside, so fluffy inside, dipped in the Chimmichurri sauce….mmmmm.
If you have not been to a place that makes their own Chimmichurri sauce; it is a stretch your global culinary legs walk that will certainly take you out of your burger joint down the street rut.
Desert was a delicate layered chocolate cake with a raspberry reduction sauce topped with white chocolate curled sticks. Ok, really, it would be hard to mess up that combination, i mean once you ensure the layer cake is done right.
Which they did.
We would love to return to try another selection from the menu. Definitely highly recommend.
No date night review is complete without a trip to the baño! Wow! nice. Clean, chic, on theme. However!!!!, when you approach the restroom nook, you want to turn left and use one of those two, i made the mistake of turning to the right. Which turns out to be the Harry Potter bathroom under the staircase. There is no toilet paper holder, because there is no room for it, the counter almost touches the toilet tank and the wall hand rail touches your shoulder if you were to, say, find yourself in a seated position. The roll of toilet paper literally just sits on the counter, seriously, see the pic below! But, the other two (i checked when my wife visited them on the way out) were palatial and awesome. Don’t miss them.
Then walk it off along the charming, string lit tree-lined Woodlands Waterway, complete with ducks, DINKWADs, and the periodic electric scooter. Enjoy!
One of the unique touches I really appreciated was the use of thin-sliced plantains instead of traditional nachos—a small detail that gives the restaurant a distinct personality and cultural flair.
We ordered a variety of dishes and appetizers, and everything was flavorful and well-executed. The cuisine leans toward gourmet style, so attention to presentation is clearly a priority, and the flavors matched the visual appeal.
The portions are on the smaller side, which is expected with this style of dining, but I’m glad I ordered the smoked lamb appetizer—it was a standout. I’ll definitely be returning to explore more of the menu, as I enjoy getting a full sense of a restaurant’s range before forming a final judgment.
I highly recommend this place to anyone willing to explore thoughtful, well-prepared dishes. If you prefer more traditional or fast-food-style options, this might not be your ideal fit—but if you’re open-minded and appreciate culinary creativity, you’ll find this spot to be a real gem.
You can truly taste the chef’s effort and intentionality in every dish—the way flavors are layered and balanced creates an experience that stays with you.
