A DIAMOND AMONGST A SEA OF QUARTZ!!!
Judging by the older posts this wasn’t always the case. Newer ones seem to be what I experienced.
Most times when you have food at a fast food joint connected or inside a convenience store or fuel stop, you’re gonna get at best an OK experience. Greasy long held food, an old oil smoking in the fryer smell, and cleanliness that borders on safe for inspection.
LET ME TELL YOU, THIS PLACE IS DIFFERENT!!!
A very clean dining area is what you are presented with when you walk in. No old funky or greasy smells and the lighting is plenty bright to welcome all who come.
Walking up to the counter, we were greeted by a very warm and welcoming staff. The female who took our order was very cheerful and even joked with us when we presented an odd proposition.
The food was fresh and hot! I’ve spent over 20 years in the restaurant, bar, and nightclub scene and seen all manners of fryers, good and bad. The food had none of that old oil flavor and there was no smoke coming from the fryers in the kitchen. This means they keep their oil fresh and have an excellent hood and vent system. Most fast food joints ignore these things, but not this place.
Overall, I will DEFINITELY be stopping by again as the family travels that way at least 10 times a year.

I came in ordered a 2 piece dark and a 2 piece dark meal with a large drink and 4 bombers I paid 18.00 and got a 2piece meal 4 bombers and a large drink. The cashier rushed through my order that he didn’t get it right then proceeds to argue with what I ordered. Meal would have been fine if the service would have been more attentive… suggestions to reduce price of the order or paying attention to what the customer orders would be helpful

Horror the five piece nugget
it was supposed to have the bee sting sauce they didn’t have that and the meat in the I’ve had more meat and clams that were battered.
And the chicken fried steak I couldn’t even begin to tell you how that was, let me say that just kept me up through the night.

Came here and asked for the shrimp and tenders. They said they ran out of shrimp yesterday. Understandable. Then I asked for spicy tenders and was told that they’re out. I said I’ll wait it’s no problem. Then they said I can only have what they already cooked which was regular tenders about 3 hours old. It’s 4:10 pm and there’s just no way they’re not lying and being lazy. I walked off. The manager was in the back telling the cashier over her radio what I could and couldn’t have. Forget church’s chicken. Go to popeyes or golden chick.

Went to the drive thru. Asked them to make the chicken fresh, she said they had just dropped the chicken and it was fresh! Wrong! Chicken was old and dry and had no flavor. The only thing good was the biscuits! I could have waited for fresh chicken since we drove to Dilley just for chicken.. smh! Dissatisfied

Me and my husband walked In around 9pm and we started ordering as we are ordering the manager Victor told us they had limited things but he can make some fresh chicken for us if we can wait about 15 min we said yes he was very happy to attend to us and even said how good the chicken was about to be he had a good attitude good customer service he treated the other employees good we over heard him training one of them and he talked to them with so much respect and patience my husband order fried chicken I ordered the grilled chicken it was fresh hot and super juicy it’s rare to find quality and good customer service in a fast food place these days but this place HAS IT! I love my Church’s chicken! If you’ve NEVER worked at a fast food place or restaurant before, then you have no place to speak about how to run or manage or work at a place like this! They take forever and never have what you want. I don’t know why they don’t just close it down. Chicken was sitting under the heat lamp to long. Cashiers didn’t know how to charge the man in front of me for just a single chicken fried steak… took 3 of them about 20 mins. I was not a happy camper and my son didn’t get what he wanted because they weren’t dropping anything else in the fryer. This was at like 6pm they don’t close till 10pm. Smh
