I don’t usually leave reviews for fast food places especially the off highway duck in/duck out while pumping gas type but Maria and her staff at the Churches were top notch. Very friendly and served hot fresh chicken(we waited 5 more minutes to get spicy), biscuits, fried okra, and mashed potatoes. Gonna be our go to pit stop between Houston and East Texas when we need a quick break! Being connected to the gas station helps out too!

We had the best experience Maria greeted me with such friendly service and took my order and my daughter spilled her drink and Sylvia helped clean it up with a smile on her face with no hesitation and made my daughter feel better about it cause she was sad about it .. the food was fresh and hot tasted so good so definitely compliments to the chef too.

I hate giving negative reviews because I understand people have off days. I’ve never seen a group of people so confused and so poorly trained before. While I was there not only did they mix up my order but 2 other orders as well. I was forced to order a combo and was told “we can’t remove the sides and drink because it comes included in the price” even though on the menu it says “combo” with price and “tenders” with the price. I worked at church’s for a while and understand how things can get hectic, but yikes that was more than hectic.

If wings are going to be coated in honey…dont pour 2 inches of honey in the container. Pour it on them beforehand. Very disgusting and disappointing thay I picked my container up out of my bag and got COATED in honey.

I’ve read both good and bad reviews of this place, but WE had a GOOD EXPERIENCE. For fast food restaurants, ESPECIALLY those in small towns, it depends on who’s working that day!
