This was our second time popping in to Church Street. The first time we were biking on the Bearskin Trail, and we stopped in for a cocktail.
Today we had time to stop in for breakfast.
Coffee was delicious! Great coffee!!
The breakfast choices were 4. They were all so unique and delicious sounding. I had the zucchini and trout frittata. The side of potatoes was outstanding! It was almost too pretty to eat. Delicious. We loved everything about our visit. We’ll be back.

Very cool place, hidden from the busy highway. A hidden gem? Maybe…. The atmosphere is unique/eclectic, & the drinks are great. The food is just so so. I’ve been here with friends a few times & with my spouse once.
The meals are different daily, as there isn’t a menu. The owner has 3 options typically but once they’re gone, that’s it.
This last time we were there, our food was not very good. The chicken Marsala was bone dry, and lacked flavoring. I was actually disappointed in my meal, it was so dry I needed dressing or something to give it flavor. My husband had a Cuban sandwich, the best thing on that were the homemade beans.
After several visits here, I think we’re done eating here. I’d stop for a drink, but that’s about all.

What do I say about this unique dining establishment? When I walked in, it felt I was crashing someone’s house for dinner. A small, intimate setting that is reminiscent of a living room with an attached kitchen. Each night’s menu is a limited selection of two or three items. And the proprietor? Well, let me tell you something about this woman. She reminds me of one of my grade school teachers with her cantankerous demeanor. But you know what? I plan on coming back because she and the environment grow on you. One more thing: CASH ONLY but there is an ATM machine in the front area.

What a cool little find tucked back into the woods off the beaten path! This is not like any other restaurant I’ve ever been to. Unique vibe and interesting decore. There are only a few tables and maybe 7-8 stools at the bar. The menu had 3 choices, we tried 2 of the 3 and both were very good! Very nice bar selection for such a small place. Service was excellent. Food was great! We will be back! They only take reservations one week in advance. Enjoy!
