Excellent service and kind staff. The food was delicious and fairly priced for portion size. I would say this is the better Chinese place in town, highly recommended!

I have been going to Chuong Garden for years and years. It Was the best Chinese restaurant we’ve ever eaten at anywhere. We hadn’t been there in a while. I ordered my usual moo goo gai pan. Instead of the usual opaque creamy flavorful sauce, it was watery and brownish. There were few vegetables in the dish. It was not flavorful. My egg drop soup was like a thickened broth, no sign of eggs or vegetables. The portions were noticeably small though the price was increased.

No buffet. Vegetables tasted like chemicals. The restaurant smelled of chemicals. Over priced. Seafood was over cooked and the general tsao was not sauced correctly as well as being more breading than chicken. – would not recommend if you want Good Chinese food let alone a buffet (which again they advertise but do not have)

I ordered the szechuan triple delight lunch combo and it was not good. The sauce tasted burnt. I ordered maximum spicy and numby and it was not either. The beef was mushy and tadted like freezer cardboard. The shrimp was precooked storebought walmart stuff and the fried rice was not fried or had anything in it other than just rice. The egg roll was a reheated frozen item and the egg drop soup was extremely bland. The environment is decent, the place is clean, and staff are super friendly. I asked about the beer and was told the imports were Sam Adams and Blue Moon (both are made in America, not imported). If it weren’t for the nice staff and clean place it would have been one star.

Ordered combination chow mein, there were almost no noodles in the dish, the food was very “soupy” and the beef tasted very overcooked. Crab Rangoons were good, though.

Excellent food and great service. I’m hit and miss with Chinese restaurants, but Chuong’s is known throughout SE Iowa as a quality establishment. My fave is the hot and sour soup, perfect for hangovers, colds, and whatever else may ail you.

Friendly staff and good food. This place is quiet and great for meeting friends over food or drinks.

Used to be the go to Chinese restaurant in the area. Have recommended to family and friends for years. Since the nephew took over wouldn’t recommend to anyone. Prices have gone up which in this economy is to be expected. The quantities have gone down appreciable and the quality has really dropped. Example: almost uncooked frozen shrimp in the Shrimp Chow Mein. My husband’s Kung Pao beef was near inedible. We have tried to come back on three different occasions to no avail. Won’t be coming back again.

I would give it Zero stars if I could, waiter couldn’t tell us about any of the food. Asked for steamed dumplings got fried dumplings sent them back and then we told they weren’t taking them off the check. Food was flavorless.
