The birria tacos oh my gosh! So so so delicious. I’ve been on the hunt for the best birria tacos & I had to drive 10 hours to ocean isle to find em! All the food we ordered was top notch. The rice & beans, whew. Lol so good. Service was really great. Atmosphere was cute & fun. Loved it the fresh flowers on the table. I wish this place was back home in Ohio. I’d go all the time!

We did a takeout order. All of the food was really good. We did the 9-juan-juan, birria, the OIB, and the smok’d, and all were a hit. The spicy sauce that came with all of them was really good and added a really nice flavor. Each order comes with two tacos and a side of rice/beans which is also good. The birria is the one that looks almost deep fried (menu says they are griddle fried). Only thing I probably wouldn’t do again is the street corn. The sauce and cheese are fine but the corn itself tastes like it’s frozen and from a bag. Also if you’re planning on eating there just know that there are only about 6 tables in the place so it’s pretty small (not necessarily a bad thing but I can see three being a wait).

Lovely ladies own this establishment. The service is fantastic. My guest and I ordered the chili relleno, mole’chalatas, and La Birria tacos. The chili was tasty, with strong egg afternotes. I love eggs, but wasn’t crispy at all (which I expected for some reason). Accompanied with salsa that was terrific. The mole sauce on the mole’chalatas was sweet (I expected savory..) and I personally did not enjoy. Also, I prefer only white meat chicken and this dish was combination. The La Birria tacos were delicious, however, very greasy due to the awesome amount of cheese. Overall, enjoyed the experience. Ginormous portions. This food will put meat on your bones!

This place is a hole in the wall, but don’t let that scare you. The food here is outstanding, all of the meats are prepared impeccably and the service is fast and friendly. Ingrid took great care of us!

A couple of weeks ago I seen a post for Chunky Salsa in one of the local group I’m in for Brunswick County, NC. Let’s just say the post it self wasn’t good at all, but it had well over 25 comments saying the food was amazing and the girls who own it are awesome. Well today myself an my wife had to stop by and check it out ourselves.

OMG. The food was amazing. Completely unique and so so good. Amazing chef and the food was out of this world. I’ve never had anything like it. I hope we can go back before we leave. Their menu, while limited, is phenomenal. We had six people in our party and everyone LOVED their food. If you are in the area, make sure to stop by. You will be amazed as well. Hot and fresh. Perfectly seasoned and cooked. We will be back!!!!

I couldn’t wait to post this review. The kitchen sink burrito was outstanding and Huuuuge. Fresh toppings and authentic flavors. Served with Pico and tortilla chips that helped me scoop up what I lost off of my fork. As other guests were served, I was quickly deciding what I would try on my next visit (everything looked delicious). Super friendly service with a present owner who cares about everything. I highly recommend Chunky Salsa and look forward to coming back soon!
