Hello,
I am writing to report an extremely uncomfortable and unacceptable experience at your downtown location.
From the moment we arrived, the service felt dismissive and avoidant. We were the only Black customers in the restaurant. The server delayed acknowledging us and appeared to wait until there were no other customers needing service before engaging with us, while continuing to serve others during that time.
When she did approach us, she requested our IDs and then walked away while we were actively pulling them out. She continued serving other customers, resulting in an additional wait of approximately ten minutes before returning, at which point we showed our IDs immediately.
The drink that was made for us sat at the bar for over 15 minutes before we were allowed to receive it, and when it was finally served, it was noticeably watered down.
When we ordered food, we were served cut-up chicken tenders as “boneless wings,” which was not what was advertised or ordered. Before the food was brought to our table, it was taken back due to the wing sauce being incorrect. After this delay, the food was eventually served cold.
When the food was returned or corrected, the server’s demeanor was dismissive and rushed. There was no apology, explanation, or effort made to improve the experience.
The wing sauce was still incorrect and had to be addressed again. When the corrected order came out, we requested ranch. We were instead given blue cheese. When I asked for ranch, I was told I would have to pay an additional $2, despite never receiving any dipping sauce with my wings. I calmly referenced the menu, which clearly states ranch is a selectable option. Rather than correcting the issue, the server argued with me.
I then stated that I had noticed the unusual and unfair treatment and expressed that it felt discriminatory. The server responded by shrugging her shoulders, laughing, and saying “okay,” showing no concern or professionalism.
This experience was deeply upsetting. The repeated delays, mishandled food, cold food, watered-down drink, dismissive behavior, and lack of accountability raise serious concerns about how customers like me are treated at this location.
I hope this matter is taken seriously, as no customer should feel disrespected or singled out while dining at your establishment.

Chumley’s is like a second home for me when I need to get out. The bartenders are especially great, if you meet Erin, Dez, Cecilia, or Amelia, you’ll have the best time. They have Fat Tire on draft and it’s cheap, food is good too. Do yourself a favor. Also, karaoke on Tuesday slaps.

They make their own pork rinds. They’re like $4.50 and good. stilling crackling when they hand them over. They have better beer on tap then the brewery next door. Honestly wish I had more time to spend here and try some more food. They have an outdoor bar area and little patio which is great for acting cool I know I was doing some of this myself when I was here.

Atmosphere was okay, nothing about the place says come on back for another visit. The food (wings, fries, pierogi) was garbage. They had two young men back there cooking so not sure if they are the regular cooks. Ordered ranch with wings and it didn’t come with wings. Reminded the bartender and she did not get ranch until 15 minutes later. My drink remaind empty until I left and she did not ask if I needed anything else (she needs to be retrained) as a bartender.

The Cesar salad is amazing, I don’t know what they make it with and I don’t care I just loooove it. My only complaint is that during busy nights there’s only one bartender and they normally look very overwhelmed and struggling to service everyone. It’s not the bartenders fault because they do their best but I think they’re understaffed

Ordered food for dinner while hanging out down the road and im glad I did!!! Staff was friendly and professional. I ordered a chicken parm sandwich, grilled chicken sandwich and a side of southwestern egg rolls and everything was delicious. Well put together and hot. Took 15 minutes from phone call to pickup. Keep up the good work yall!!!

Open late after the others are closed. Seems like all the people we met at the bars in town were here after hours. Fun night end. They do have food but we did not eat there.

I work nearby and have never heard anything but good reviews about this place. It is THE spot to hit downtown. Staff is awesome, food is bangin- chicken tenders are killer, and one of their seasonal staff recently recommended I try the lemon pepper wings with ranch… 100% recommend. Markus’s hot sauce is also killer (and he’s a really incredible guy). Everything is reasonably priced and it’s a fixture in downtown.

My favorite hole in the wall place in Melbourne. The wings are top notch. The Marcus sauce is hot, but it has dimensions of flavor. The fried pork rinds are incredible. The ultimate bar snack.

Wow, perfect place. Lois was out server and did a great job. Mahi sandwich was delicious and the two there 8n my party raved about their food also. Good selection of beers, reasonable prices, not smokey, and good clientele. Great choice!
