Ordered takeout through DoorDash pick up. Got my food home, only to have the bag fall apart when I lifted it because one of the lids was not on tightly and sauce spilled all over into the paper bag, causing it to disintegrate and land in my car seat. Big mess when I got home and stained seat.

Once I finally got to sit down and eat the food, it was delicious, but not quite the experience I had hoped for. One dish was completely wasted.

Amazing. Incredible food and service. Truly delightful. Excellent quality and value too! Can’t wait to come back. Great lunch specials that are very affordable! Lots of vegetarian options. Highly recommend Chulo! Welcome to campus west!

I’ve been here twice for lunch and both visits were wonderful. The food has a ton of depth of flavor and is really fresh. The chicken momos are the best I’ve personally ever had! The lunch menu has great affordable options with generous portions, and the staff members are very kind and friendly as well. Excited to come try them for dinner soon. One of my new favorite restaurants for sure!

I’m a big fan of this restaurant. Great food, reasonable prices. We love the 6 sauce tray they bring while you’re looking at the menu, the copper water pitchers, and the service is consistently the best I’ve had anywhere in Ft Collins over the past almost 40 years. They’re genuinely happy to be serving you. We get such a warm feeling every time.

We had 3 momo dishes and chicken korma. We loved the korma, c-momo (like sweet, sour, spicy dumplings), kothe. We liked the meat dumplings more than the veggie ones and the johl sauce wasn’t our thing.

We will definitely be back or order take out again!

Review:

This place has been open for a month. The staff is very friendly and the ambiance is great. Quiet, tv’s showing the Nepalase landscape in high resolution video and the seating is comfortable. Nice cutlery and just gives the small place an upscale feel.. No chili’s or fast casual vibe here at all. This is a throwback to dining the way it was.

Started with complimentary Papadum bread served with 6 different sauces. Everything from mango chutney to mint to pickle to chili to sesame seed sauce. Very good.

The momocha chicken dumplings were very tasty. We chose the chicken but they also have a veggie option. The sesame sauce pairs well with this and the flavors are amazing. A little touch of back end spice heat… perfect.

The 2 lamb dishes could not have been any more different in flavor and presentation. Lamb Rogan Josh (ordered medium) with the mix of their regional garam, yogurt and masala was tasty.. and those kabobs came with their own unique sauce. The kabobs (ordered medium) were served over a bed of grilled onions and green peppers and served with a fresh side salad.

White rice was served with the entrees.

The Naan is typical Nepalese. The native crispness is there but this particular bread had a soft edge to it. Very good.

They bring you your own vat of water for refills and they were fairly attentive and very cordial and helpful with boxes toward the end of the meal.

A slight criticism and really the only one is that the kabobs were a little over cooked for my taste but were still amazing. They also have goat on their menu and that’s next on the list.

Overall this is a welcome and much needed addition to the Fort Collins food scene. Give them a try.. trust me.. its worth it….. and the pricing is very reasonable for this type of food. The best food we have had in this category locally and we have been eating in Fort Collins for 31 years.

They are open 7 days a week:

11:00 – 9 Monday- Friday
11:30 – 9 Saturday & Sunday.

Peace and happy dining!

The food was great and the quality excellent. The interior was beautifully decorated and had a romantic atmosphere. I have only good things to say. Unfortunately there was an underlying metallic taste to all the food. The water stored in a metallic jug, the soup had a burnt metallic taste from the vessel it was cooked in and there was a subtle metallic undertone to the curry. I hope they see this comment and get new cook ware. Then I would definitely rate 5 stars.

My partner and I eat here at least once a week. The food is absolutely fantastic and we are so happy they’re here. We usually order the lunch special or butter chicken, the honey cheese naan is also fantastic. For some reason, they are listed as seafood on yelp, but it is definitely Indian and Nepalese cuisine. Flavors are just knock-your-socks-off- give it a try.
