First time at Chuds…it was really good! Since my wife is strictly gluten free, they were kind enough to explain what choices she had – that was really nice. She built her own burger and had a side of potato salad. I let the chef pick my meal and I was not disappointed with BBQ Gouda Chicken sandwich and side of coleslaw. Chloe did very well tonight! Highly recommended!

Highly impressed—still haven’t found a better restaurant on the SD side. We ordered a side salad with homemade blue cheese dressing, fish tacos, a burger, and fries. The fries stayed warm and delicious the entire meal—crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. They even have Yuengling on tap, which is a real treat.
It’s absolutely worth the drive to Larchwood—100 times over. This is definitely our new favorite spot to eat. It has fun, funky grill vibes and a chill, accommodating staff that makes you feel like family. It’s not formal dining, but the food easily beats many of the “fancy” Sysco-reheated places around Sioux Falls.

Their menu is nicely labeled with Gluten Free options, including half of their sides. I figured that meant they had dedicated fryers to keep things separate. They in fact do not, they fry the non gluten items in the same fryer as the regular items which defeats the purpose. You can see this in our photo… We had the waffle fries which are listed as GF, but in our basket was 2 onion petals which are not GF. Also the service was terrible! Our server Chloe is simply not good at serving. We were there for 90 mins and we’re served 2 drinks… 1 of which she asked us for at the beginning and the 2nd occurred only after several humorous attempts of trying to get her attention. Even the table next to us noticed how she lacked the ability to look around as she was serving others. The other blonde waitress in our area was doing a great job… So service will totally depend on who you get. 90 mins for 2 people to eat bar food is a bit crazy and most of it was simply because of the waitress.

YALL – Worth the drive (and the wait) from Sioux Falls!
Holyyyyy crap, the food here is GOOD. If you’re looking for CHUDS Pub and Grub, don’t look in Sioux Falls head over to Larchwood, IA. It is worth every mile.
I tried the “Indecisive” meal ($18) because the menu is so stacked I couldn’t choose. The chefs picked for me, and they didn’t miss! We got a massive salad, a pineapple pork flatbread, and a chicken/pork sandwich. The homemade coleslaw is a 10/10 (I’m coming back just for that), and the wedge onion rings are seasoned to perfection. Pro tip: their ranch is homemade, so you already know it’s elite.
A few things to know:
• Be patient! This isn’t McDonald’s; it’s quality crafted food. Plus, with the Burger Battle going on, there’s gonna be a wait. Grab a drink and relax!
• The Drinks: They had “Big Dill Energy” (pickle beer!) on tap, and the Bloody Mary was a 10/10. I heard they do Pitcher Bloodys on Thursdays that look insane. I’ll be there Thursday
• The Vibes: Super cool atmosphere with The Simpsons, The Hangover, and Dumb and Dumber art. They even have FREE arcade games and hilarious attention to detail in the bathrooms.
Small town feel, big-time flavors. The staff/owners are awesome and actually care. CHUDS Pub and Grub

Loved the atmosphere of this place. Local, small town vibe. Service outstanding, wait staff took great care of us. The food had great flavors and tasted amazing.. Only issue was the presentation of food. It was very sloppy and haphazardly thrown together. It was a busy Friday night. But made it hard to eat. I will definitely be trying it out again.

Amazing! I felt like I was in an episode of Diners Drive-in and Dives!
Amazing atmosphere, there was live music, the staff was delightful and were all happy and laughing with one another. The food….OMGNSS! Amazing! The burger was huge and they had a gluten free bun. I had gluten free breaded boneless wings for an appetizer…. gluten free?!?! And they were excellent.
Friday night the place was packed but still found a seat.
A gem of a restaurant. Highly recommend the drive.

WOW. I don’t remember ever having a chicken sandwich this flavorful – Asian pineapple crispy chicken. Our table also selected the patty melt – also, one of the best, and the onions were perfectly grilled. We could have made it with just one side, the portions are huge! We will be back to try other menu items, and plan on coming over to enjoy the entertainment on the weekends.

Excellent food with fast and friendly service. I had the Cajun Chicken Philly, and it was very tasty. My only suggestion would be that the hoagie for this sandwich should be toasted. Seemed a little too bready without that added touch. Otherwise very good all around. Will definitely be back.

CHUDS has quickly become one of our favorite restaurants! It has a comfortable, down-to-earth feel, sometimes with live music. There are arcade games and pool that you can play for free. We love that the fries are cooked in tallow, and that there are plenty of gluten-free options. Plus the food is excellent—their bone-in wings and breakfast pizza are some of the best I’ve ever had! They also have gluten-free sweet potato fries, which are a rare find. The service is very friendly and accommodating, which we really appreciate. Grateful for this wonderful place!
