The food is just like the menu says, “We are not a fast food establishment. All food is made-to-order and made with lots of love!” If you need something ask they will probably be able to meet your need!
The service is also top notch, first timers treated just as warmly as the regulars that have been coming for 20 years!
It’s a diamond in the rough, figuring out the menu was a lil confusing, you seat yourself and you take your receipt up front to pay. The waitress we had was so wonderful and sweet, and made sure we knew just what we were ordering.
Their grilled cheese cheeseburger honestly rules. Grilled cheese sandwiches instead of buns, just make sure to ask for any toppings you may want. I am not a cheeseburger fan usually but they let me sub out american cheese for colby and it was the best choice i’ve made all week I think.
My partner got the chicken strips, and you can very clearly tell they’re hand breaded and fried instead of frozen and shipped to the location. The seasoning they use on their fries is also quite yummy!
All in all, incredible experience here. Highly recommend, specially if you need a pick me up on a long road trip.
It’s a great meeting. Three type southern style place. We were greeted right away and very friendly servers. The specials are written up on a whiteboard and then menus are at the table.
I got the chicken tenders special comes with two sides and the chicken tenders are hand breaded here at the restaurant. Not some thickly breaded Frozen things. Very tasty. I also got mac and cheese which was wonderful and a plateful potato tots. My friend got a salisbury steak, mashed potatoes and green beans and enjoyed every bit of his dinner.
So if you’re looking for a a homestyle meat and three so in the restaurant, this is the place to go to. You won’t be disappointed at all.
A true mom and pop place where specials and sides are posted on a whiteboard and you can see into the kitchen.
Friendly waitress and big portions. The bacon on her salad was excellent. My country fried steak was a bit on the bland side, but overall, the meal was good.
If you like meat and three places you will love Chuckwagon. I was a bit disappointed the day we went because they were out of salads (which was what I wanted) and fish (which was my backup). I opted for the grilled chicken sandwich which was just ok. Two small grilled chicken tenders that were a little over cooked on a bun.
My husband had chicken and dressing which he said was a little dry. His veggies (corn, green beans and Cole slaw) were all good. He also liked their sweet tea.
I don’t think you will find friendlier people or better service. By the time we left the place was packed with what seemed to be locals and regulars which speaks volumes for an establishment.
There was only one server/ hostess but she was in 3 places at once. Busy but got everything done in a timely manner
Cleanliness: 10/10
The whole place was clean and smelling good. The bathroom was spotless and also smelled good.
Staff: 10/10
It’s a shame that no one wants to work, she definitely needs help so she’s not so tired at the end of the day.
Atmosphere: 10/10
Well decorated, nice tables and chairs, and all good quality. Not mixed matched yard sale stuff you see at some small restaurants
Busy: 7/10
Not too busy when I came in a 10am on a Saturday but again, only one person doing everything. And I think one cook in the back
Value: 10/10
Very well priced and great quality food
Overall: 10/10
Highly recommend this place.
