Chuck’s Southern Comforts Cafe has been in business for over 20 years with BBQ, Cajun/Creole, Mexican & Southern dishes, all made from scratch daily. We also have a full service bar with over 120 craft beers, 12 on draft and a full hand crafted cocktail menu. Private parties can be hosted in our semi-private Voodoo Lounge area, or in our private party room. Catering to your location is also available and we deliver catering out 75 miles. Special events including craft beer pint nights, tapas, beignets are hosted throughout the year.

“This the type of food that keeps families together!”
Hubby had me on the road for hours starving until I said hurry pick a spot! Outside wasn’t really “giving” but I was open minded. Got inside and was offered the bar…. low profile YES! Got to the back and it was both high top and low tables. Love the atmosphere with the waiter, Richard, giving a real “homie” vibe!
Brisket loaded fries (no subs) BUSS DOWN
Smokehouse burger- hubby wanted more sauce (there was more he couldve added l lol)
Ordered rib tips as appetizers but we smashed those as soon as they arrived.

This is a BBQ place and that is really good here, They also have great Cajun food.
Today I had shrimp etouffee. wow this was great today. Friendly staff excellent service and great food.
Returned today it’s been about a year since my last visit. Hey it’s just as good as it always is, great food!
Today I had a cup of gumbo and the shrimp jambalaya. Oh my I’ll need to come back sooner. This was a large portion today.

Man-oh Man!!! I’ve had good food several times in life, but EXCELLENT food only a few. This was excellent. Everything here was made with AWARENESS & LOVE!
I ordered ‘The Sampler- 2 Meats’. I chose the 3 wings & pulled pork, and it came with two sides and I selected the Mac N Cheese and Beans. I also ordered a side of the Cajun Green Beans.
This food is something to write home about! The wings although smothered in BBQ had so much flavor and seasoning I may have shed a tear.
The pulled pork was SO tender it was almost wet, other than the PERFECTLY charred ends. Each bite was filled with a smokey flavor that could only have come from HOURS of smoking. I cant even describe the cajun green beans, just delicious and UNIQUE!
The whole plate … *Chefs Kiss* Would definitely order again!!

Came to this location with a group of 4 adults and 3 children and was beyond disappointed with the service. We were seated at 6:45pm and by 7:25 the only thing we had received was our drinks, which the order was taken by the busser. We had informed her that we were ready to order food to which she replied that our server would be with us soon. We waited, waited, and waited some more and the server never came or acknowledged us. After watching the server take a tables order who had been seated after us, we decided to leave.

I come to Chucks in Burbank often, I live down the street and my kids love the food. I always recommend it to people bc I have never had a bad meal. I was there twice this week. The staff is usually amazing as well. Last night I went to the bar with my friend. Tom, the bartender, is great! Friendly, always cracking jokes, good vibes. The other bartender is rude, gets mad when you order a drink, then makes a comment to his manager who laughs at his comment bc he’s mad about me ordering a coco loco. Then hands me my drink, I say thank you very much, not a word, doesn’t acknowledge customers at all. His whole attitude when we are there is just absolutely shitty with us. If I do come back, I will just go on Thursday when Chrissy is there bc her vibe is as awesome as Tom’s is. She was sweet, kind, and bought us a shot. But if you go when it’s Tom and the young guy always on with him, make sure you order something like a beer or a shot since the young one gets mad he has to do his job. Then proceeds to talk shit about customers who order drinks that are listed on the menu. And the manager just laughs bc of his rude comments. I honestly don’t want to come back after the way I was treated last night which is sad bc chucks is my go to. Im here like once a week. This isn’t my first time getting a shitty experience with that bartender either. But I figured, lets give it another try. Same shitty attitude. You are in customer service, you should probably be nicer to your customers.

The last few delivery experiences here have not been great. We had an order so salty, it was barely edible. Most recently, we received gumbo that was all broth and no “stuff”, as well as a grilled shrimp po’boy that was absolutely not seasoned at all, not to mention a missing bread roll. We called to let them know that there were issues with the items coming out of the kitchen because we know what they are capable of putting out. They assured me that they’d give me a customer credit if I called in an order in the future. I took them up on that today and learned that my customer credit was a mere $5.00, totally not worth it for the lackluster experience we had last time. I decided to cancel my order and forgo the credit, as it’s not worth the cost to roll the dice again.

This place is amazing. To be clear this review will focus on brunch. Tthrey have a Mexi-Cajun fusion of breakfast items. Very creative and even more tasty. You will notice a picture of beignets, they only have these on the first Saturday of the month until they run out so reservations recommended!

Overall, a really nice place to have dinner with family or coworkers. The food is delicious and fresh. The atmosphere is cozy and friendly. The workers were quick and friendly. My friends and I all enjoyed our food. I had the chicken enchiladas, and they were delectable. The waitress was super friendly and accommodating for me and my friends. She even refilled my tea before I had the opportunity to ask her! Overall, I will come here again and recommend you to visit too!

Great food and very large space! Went in for late lunch and everything was tasty. I really like that they have sampler options on their menu so you can try a variety of smoked/BBQ option. My favorite was probably the smoked chicken because it was still tender and not dry. Their tib tips and brisket fries were absolutely delicious though.
