In California there used to be a place similar to Chuck-a-Rama called Home Town Buffet. This place is just like that. Economical. Good for large groups. Food was good. More of comfort food than gourmet. The price (18.99) per adult is great. It included a drink.

The selections are plenty and the delicious dishes are fried chicken, hot fried bread and scones. The rolls are essential with a wide spread of salad and dessert. It has a different theme throughout the weekday.

It was good food. Server was respectful. A good family outing. Atmosphere was great. Price was ok but not a big difference with kids. About the same price as adults.

Very good food with many selections here. I been twice. They are very accommodating here. The stewed turkey, stuffing and beer battered cod fillet I’d say are my favorite items. The chicken is overwhelmingly huge.

WATCH OUT!!!!!!!! CHUCK-A-RAMA HAS BREAKFAST!?!?!?! Just heard this morning and told my kids, WE ARE GOING OUT FOR A RIDE
What separates this place for breakfast is, every single person was smiling. Being greeted with a smile, and then everyone’s face has a smile will change your energy for the positive. The food was terrific considering this was only their second week of this. Thank you guys for the Great Breakfast Food, Great Customer Service, Great Atmosphere
This was 10/10 for me

I hate to give 2 stars over all, because the staff was very friendly and attentive, but the food is just not good. My boyfriend brought me to Chuck-A-Rama to satisfy some childhood nostalgia thing he had going on, but the second I walked in the door and saw that everyone was decades older than us, I said, “Oh, no,” out loud. Once I started looking over the food options, the “lunch service in a Medicare assisted living facility” vibe was complete. Very few items looked appetizing. The salad area looked risky, and the macaroni and cheese was getting crusty. The scones, typically a unique Utah treat different than scones anywhere else in the US, were greasy and a little tough. The sliced meats were salty but somehow bland. I don’t know how they messed up stuffing, because that’s one of my favorite foods, but it was damp, chewy, flavorless, and just weird. Like, just get some Stovetop, because that’s simple and edible. The only things I could actually eat were the chicken noodle soup and the cooked carrot-and-potato side dish (the latter was delicious). I will never go back and am mad that I wasted a vacation meal on this place. If you want good food, try Café Zupas or the Cliffside Restaurant instead. ♥

IMMACULATE! This is how a buffet should be run! Everything clean and tidy,(even with a tour bus group there!)
Friendly people always seem walking around with thermometers checking the food temp for safety! The people running this store deserve the highest pRaises!
Thank you for doing it great!

Stopped to look at some sporting items next door after a hike at Zion Park from Vegas. We saw the parking lot as very busy. Decided to have an early dinner. Food was tasty and constantly being refilled. Soup was very salty and tasted like campbells. The rest was delicious. Best corn bread Ive had in my life. Price was really good for the offering. If you like healthy, this place has amazing fresh salad selection and lean meat. So much. Sweets and drink variety as well. One of the best buffet for the price.

Arrived around 7:30pm. Sad, sad!, the food looked to pathetic. It wasn’t my idea of eating here, I did it for the convenience. This Chukarama was worse than those ones in SLC. They empty parking lot is an indication of a bad restaurant.
The salad bar, sad, pathetic, needed to be refreshed but why bothered if no one is eating it.
Chicken old, cold, dried, no flavor. The beef, ham, turkey my friends hated them. Over all do not even bothered stepping into this place. Go to MacDonalds instead or somewhere else. It is odd and disturbing to see how Americans do not what good food is. This place isn’t for travelers.
Next time I will say NO WAY!!@

I visited Chuck-A-Rama on a wednesday afternoon, and the buffet felt like a hit-or-miss experience.

Some words about salad bar. Pasta salad, broccoli salad, and potato salad were all pretty average. Frog eye salad had a weird consistency that didn’t sit right with me. Overall the salad bar offered plenty of vegetables and fruits – nothing too exciting, but everything was fresh, which is definitely a plus.

Now let’s talk about food from hot buffet. Mac and cheese tasted very artificial. Cheesy veggies, chuckwagon potatoes, scones and chuckwagon baked beans were very good, but french fries were honestly my favorite thing there .

Tomato basil soup was way too salty. I couldn’t even finish a small bowl. On the flip side, the cream of broccoli soup with bacon was amazing. I could’ve eaten bowls of that.

A big downside for me was the lack of protein options for vegetarians, not even fish was available . Everything was meat.

Overall Chuck-A-Rama is a place with some solid comfort food, but you have to hunt for the good stuff. If you eat meat, you’ll probably find more to enjoy. But if you’re vegetarian or vegan, it’s best to skip this place unless you’re in the mood for an all-you-can-eat salad bar.
