My friend and I stayed down the shore this past weekend. Since we paid $25 for parking, we decided to walk to a nearby restaurant. It had a 4.8/5 rating so I decided to give it a chance. We get there and there’s massive people coming to pick up their orders and most of the customers were annoyed Because their orders were still not ready even though they placed them over the phone 30 minutes in advanced (yes I was listening). My friend ordered a cheesesteak and some fries and I ordered a bacon cheeseburger with cheese fries. They told us it was gonna be about a 20 minute wait. Well, that 20 minutes turned into almost an hour. I am not only a foodie, but I am also a chef so I am very particular when it comes to dining out. First off, the cheesesteak was tasteless she said, and it was made with frozen steak ums and my bacon cheeseburger had no bacon, no lettuce , tomato, onions, no salt and pepper and our fries were baked instead of fried so they were all sticking together. I was highly disgusted and disappointed and I usually leave a decent tip wherever I eat, but I did not because I wasted my money and my time walking to this restaurant. I’m not sure how the pizza is, but a lot of customers were ordering them and maybe I should have gone that route. I will never, ever come back here ever again and to top it off, the cook, and the lady at the register were arguing (Another sign of bad for business). That is something you don’t do in front of customers!

Great pizza and salads, great service, always get a slice from here every time we’re in town. The grilled chicken Caesars salad is fresh and authentic dressing. Anti pasto has fresh authentic cuts and veggies, pickled cauliflower is a great touch.Salads come with fresh baked bread, so nice. Crisp crust pizza, good sauce, not too sweet.

Please. Just look at these pictures. Do I even need to say more? Of course not. But will I? Of course I will. So here I was…9pm on an average weekday…starving…no food to eat in my house. I pace around my beautifully furnished house and then it hits me…let me just order a pizza to eat. I look up some places around me and find this gem. I should have known what was in store for me this evening by the off putting name but I decided to give it a shot. This place says it’s open until 11:30 at night – note it’s still around 9pm. I call and am instantly greeted with the huffing and puffing of a man who obviously gave up years ago. I ask to place an order to which I receive the verbal response of, “I’m trying to leave early”. Yes, I was just as confused as you my fellow reviewers. I should have taken this as a huge hint and ran for the hills. After a bit of back and forth he says he’ll make me a pizza. I ask to pay over the phone – Einstein huffs and puffs some more, so much so that the 3 lil piglets started to tremble. I’m again greeted with the verbal beating that I can’t do what I’m reasonably requesting and instead ordered to pay cash. After begrudgingly agreeing, I wait…I wait for my order to arrive. I’m famished. I’m tired. I’m scared. I’m delusional. But then it comes. I open the door, retrieve the moist pizza box from this man and run to my table. I open it. I look at it in befuddlement. I think, no…this can’t be real…this can’t be. I shut the box thinking my eyes are playing tricks on me. I open it again and see the same thing. A disgusting, disturbing, embarrassing excuse of a pizza. I wouldn’t feed this thing to the rabid raccoon that defecates on my deck on the daily but still seems to escape the security cameras. One may ask, is it really a raccoon using your house as toilet? Who knows, that’s beyond the point. Nevertheless, this place has bad pie.

Wanted to order half pie and other half something else , didn’t know how to put it in, so ended up ordering a whole francese pie . To me it wasn’t worth the money, chicken was plain , no taste to it, if not for the sauce then you would have a cooked chicken on a pie.
Ordered a plain slice for my kid and it was better as it had more taste to it

After spending a whole day walking in the boardwalks, in Point Pleasant, getting in all the rides, looking for a place to eat. The restaurants and the boardwalk, l we’re just so overpriced, but if you walk 3 blocks down, we found this pizzeria, called chubbies, where the Pizza was just incredible. The buffalo wings were to die for and the service was just exceptional we’ll definitely go there again

This place is a hidden gem on the shore! As someone coming from New York, I’ve had my fair share of Italian food—but the pasta Bolognese here is hands down the best I’ve ever had. The pizza is also fantastic, with a savory Italian sauce that takes the flavor to another level. What really sets this spot apart is the warm, welcoming service—you truly feel like you’ve stepped into a small-town pizzeria where everyone knows your name. Can’t wait to come back! On a drive through NJ on vacation, we stopped in to get some of that great NY/NJ pizza …. Well Chubby’s didn’t disappoint ….We got the Margarita and the pizza was AMAZING !!!! The next day it was on to The Sawmill for old times sake. How the hell did I eat so much of this as a kid when I lived here ? What total crap. I get better pizza than that in Atlanta and that’s a disgrace. Next day it was Sally’s Apizza in New Haven, Ct. This is supposed to be the best pizza there is … nope, Chubby’s was better. Kind of amazing to be honest. Keep up the good pies …. we’ll be back !

Hands down one of the best pizza spots in Jersey!
We showed up to Chubby’s Pizza with a family of 12 at 10 PM, and not only did they accommodate all of us — they did it with smiles on their faces and truly outstanding service. That kind of hospitality is rare, especially that late at night.
The pizza? Incredible. Perfect crust, delicious sauce, and piping hot. Everyone in our group was raving about it — from the kids to the grandparents.
Clean space, friendly staff, fast service, and food that hits the spot. What more could you ask for?
Thank you, Chubby’s, for making our night. We’ll definitely be back every time we’re in Pleasant Beach!
